Bought this for my daughter for Christmas. Was finally just able to use it because it has been winter until now. We used it one time and then charged the battery again because the battery died after just one use. It won't work again. Paid almost $200 for this item and only got to use it one time.

My Niece turned 2 and loves the Mini... She is learning to steer and with the 6V battery, it moves slow enough to keep her safe!

Precious Lily, 4 years old, enjoys driving this
vehicle around the block daily. It is a new thing
she has learned! We like that it does NOT have a brake pedal, but only a drive pedal. (It stops when foot is removed from drive pedal.) This is much "safer" for little children to learn quickly
So far we have no "negatives". I'm sure these would vary from child to child. "Grandpa"

My daughter and her cousins love this product. Downfall is that there is no seatbelt. My daughter loves buckeling herself in in my car and plus, it wouldn't be a bad idea to have one in there for her to know that it is the law when you are in a car. Also. I assembled it at home and it took me maybe 15 min. Super easy. Be careful that the rear gear doesn't slip out of the hole near battery. A little annoying that the assembly book tells you that there are large and small washers and in reality, they are all the same size.... ???
Good product, Worst experiance ever w/ online customer service. Makes me wonder about the company as a whole...???

Car is very cute. My daughter has a blast driving it. Only complaint is that I wish the battery was located in another spot. Having to take out the seat to charge it every day is a little annoying.

Saw it and fell in love with it! She has a great time driving it. I bought it for my friends 3 year old. She drives it mostly on paved or dirt but has taken it off road on the grass and it has rubber on the middle of tires so it's better than others; like the trike I had purchased when she was younger. Wish it did come with a 12 volt also!

We had it for 2 weeks. It is easy to assemble. Before the first time use, the battery needs to be charged for 24 hours. So if you want to present it as a birthday gift, plan extra 1-2 days ahead. My daughter saw the 2-seat cooper in tru store before, and she liked it very much. This one only has 1 seat, but still lots of fun. The cooper is very like a real car: there is key to turn on, a handle to control drive or back mode, and when driving the front light will be on. My daughter needs some practice to control the direction.

In response to the other review about riding on grass, it is my experience generally that most 6 volt ride on vehicles will not do very well on grass, but do better on paved surfaces. A 12 volt, more powerful vehicle (actually 2 times as powerful) will do better on grass. So if the main surface the vehicle will be used on is grass, go for a 12 volt.

This mini cooper is so cute- not too difficult to assemble. My granddaughter has not tried it yet so I cannot comment on how it runs. It is a bit heavy to move around. I will say though that one small part had a defect and I called the customer service line (they do not want you to return the item to Toys r us) and they are sending the part right out (free). Hope there are no other issues with it!
