      This was a wonderful purchase and helped my 3 1/2 year old stay afloat and swim for 4 hours! She's near the top end of the weight for the L, and it was still roomy, so I would say they run slightly big. She does take independent swim lessons and has some skill, but the vest assisted her so she wouldn't tire so quickly. My only complaint was that the material can get stuck in the zipper easily...I would have given it 5 stars if we didn't run into that!
