While it is a bit of a pain to have to take it apart to charge it I like that if she splashes water or something on it I don't have to worry about the ports getting damaged. She can carry it by the handle fine, I don't know if they changed the design but I can carry it without having to worry too. The volume was a bit of an issue until someone showed me that the volume can be controled through the music app even if you don't have any music on it. My kid is pretty rough on this thing I guess that's why I love it so much, she's dropped it, scooted it across the floor, splashed water on it, takes it to the potty. She's only had it for a month and it's got grooves etched in the back from her scooting it around. Even though she is what I consider to be super rough on it her Ipad has zero problems, and that's why I love this product.

I bought this product to help protect our ipad when our 6 and 2 year old sons use it. The plastic cover did protect the screen from getting dirty, however it was difficult to adjust the volume without opening the whole case. The case didn't open easily and required a coin to turn the knob in the back. The real reason I am giving this product 1 star is because about a month after we started using it, my 2 year old knocked the iPad off of the sofa onto a carpeted floor. The iPad screen went blank and the iPad stopped working. Upon inspection at the Apple store I was informed that something was probaby knocked loose inside of the iPad and that there was no way to fix it. I was left no choice but to spend close to $250.00 to replace the iPad. I contacted Fisher Price and the best they could do was refund my money for the case. They claimed that the product description does not say it will protect against falls only against "drips and dribbles". If you are looking for something to protect your device in the event that it is dropped or it falls this is not the product for you!!!

I use this case on my old gen 1 iPad. It allows my 1yr old to play with it without damaging it. It is a pain to get on and off to charge it. Can't access the power button, but I just set it to go to sleep after a few minutes of inactivity.

Bought this for our youngest who is a year old. It's been drooled on, stepped on, slid on the floor. I really like it for the durability. Yes, it is a pain to take out of the case, but it really SHOULDN'T be easy- otherwise the baby and our young one would have it out all the time. Charging it and volume can be a pain, but for me, it's worth the extra 5 seconds it takes.
The 3 rings at the top of the thing are pointless in my opinion.

This thing is heavy duty and completely protects my IPAD. My only complaint is that you can't access the charger area or volume unless you take it out of the case.

Comments about Fisher-Price 1001124 Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Case for iPad Devices:

I wanted to get a case for my 18 month old, who likes to play with the iPad but is rough with it. I read reviews on a lot of brands and, though this one didn't get the best reviews, I went with it because 1. The price and 2. It worked for his age.
Yes, it's a pain to unlock and remove the iPad from the case but C uses it so often that we only unlock it when it needs to be charged.
Yes, the screen bubbles, which started happening a month or so after we bought it. This was very frustrating for me, but not for my son. He doesn't care. As long as he can watch his videos and play his games, that's all that matters!
One last thing, my husband pointed out the screen is scratched up. But the iPad isn't!!
For very young kids, this is the way to go.

We take this pretty much every place we go with our two year old. It's great when we're out to dinner to keep her entertained, in the car on long or short rides and even just around the house in lieu of the TV. She has dropped it, banged it off walls, stepped on it and the thing doesn't have a scratch anywhere and continues to work just fine well over a year in. If it broke, I would buy another one in a second! We get compliments all the time on it from other parents wanting to know how/where they can get one too.
