the sandbox in all is great. just when we were screwing the top and such down they didnt fit perfect so we had to make our own holes. but hey it works. my kids are goning to love it. (they upgraded from the turtle to this one)..

This really has the potential to be a great sand box. The frame assembly was easy and everything fit well. HOWEVER, the seat going around the top of the box did not fit. I had to cut some pieces, drill some new holes and do some sanding to make the cut parts flush with others.

The base was easy to put together. However, section C, the seat/shelf around the top edge was not cut properly - I had to cut and sand pieces to the proper hexagon size and drill some new holes for the screws.

This sand box was of the poorest quality of anything I ever purchased from toys r us.

The screw holes did not line up with the adjacent boards.
The wood slats broke off as you tried to slide each piece together

I purchased this on the internet and when I tried to return it to the store was given a run around in that I only could get store credit.

I may never buy a toys r us item off the internet again

My daugter loves her sandbox, but when we opened it to put it together, none of the screws, nails, or stuff to put it together was in the box, and part of the wood was broken.

I ordered the sand box for my grandchildren when it arrived at their home it was damaged. My son and daughter-in-law had to drive to the store to exchange it they did not have the same one so they had to get another sand box.

After reading other reviews, I was leery of getting the sandbox but I tried it. I didn't break any boards putting it together but it felt like I was putting egg shells together. The top pieces were supposed to come with screws and mine didn't. My husband nailed them on. 2 came off already and there is no way it's sturdy enough as a bench. The boards are like styrofoam. It doesn't seem like it was made well, but my 2 children 6 and 1 are enjoying it.

Worst sand box ever. the hole are not aligned properly so the sides are crooked the bottom mat isnt attached. If you were to try and lift the sand box to move it it will come appart. Do not waste your money on it.

Easy to assemble, required a little alteration for pieces to fit together. I recommend some heavy duty staples to hold the liner for the bottom onto the sandbox. To rain cover is not tight and you may want to weigh it down OR alter it to tighten the fit on the sand box. I have a 3& a half and 1 & a half year old, both love to play in the sandbox and head right for it every day we when we get home from daycare.
