**I am not yet done with this set. I will properly review it late.**

When I was researching whether on not to get this set, I noticed that I didn't see very many pictures of this. So, I am posting pictures of the beginnings of my crawler.

I was very curious as to what the second car (it's a 2 in 1 set) would be. I was getting really frustrated until I decided that I didn't really care. Turns out it's a truck.

Great Lego, my son is 7 and is having a great time building it.
This is his 3rd technic toy and second one with power functions.
He does find it hard to fix a few steps.

He was interested in moving his Lego with a remote control, so this is the nearest. I wish there was a smaller car with power functions.

Wow. I haven't been this impressed with a technic set since Mindstorms 1.0 came out 15 years ago. The quality of the electrical systems far exceeds the old school one. The excellent ball joints and improved open differential also make it for a very life like set. Construction time was just over 4 hours for an adult, deconstruction time was quite a while too. Tons of pins to pull out, they make for a sturdy design but they take there toll on your finger tips. Huge tires make for good ground clearance. It is a bit top heavy but it adds to the excitement of learning the skill to drive it. It's also geared for high torque, not speed. You can get over good sized obstacles but not going to do it at blazing speeds.

Main cons are tiny remote and lack of real detail on the body work. The body is good but could have been better with an actual truck bed floor and a decorative engine. Other then that I highly enjoy the model. It's a great addition for any gear head or experienced builder.

love this technic one of the best i have built and i build all the big sets of the year especially like the new powerfunction motors drives well not real fast but i figure its as fast as it will let it go with out tearing up the gears
