This product describes itself as being easier to digest than other formulas on the market however my 7 week old daughter has a tougher time digesting this formula. It also makes her constipated and when she is able to push it out her stool is very dark and sticky. We switched to this formula because she seemed uncomfortable and gassy with her previous formula but apparently as new parents we didn't know discomfort until this formula which makes her cry out in pain. Aside from the digestion issues this formula is very difficult to mix; no matter how long you shake it you will still see clumps floating to the bottom. We are switching formulas asap.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I was so excited to find that Gerber made a formula for preemies. We went through several formulas with my oldest daughter who had severe reflux and colic and Gerber Good Start Gentle worked beautifully for her tummy.

My second daughter was born 7 weeks early and the hospital had her on Similac Neosure. Neosure gave her horrible gas and she strained and grunted and cried with dirty diapers. Also the Neosure stained every fabric it came in contact with.

Good Start Nourish has been a blessing because it has the extra calories, protein, and vitamins that my daughter needs and it has been a huge help with her tummy. I plan to switch her to Good Start Gentle as soon as we get the green light from her doctor. I think it will be an easy transition since both formulas use the comfort proteins.

The bonus is this formula does not stain and mixes well (I use the Dr Brown's mixing pitcher). I wish Babies R Us carried the ready to feed nursettes of the Nourish because they are perfect for the middle of the night feedings and to keep in the diaper bag.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
