My husband and I bought a different mattress that our baby did not like (we think it was too hard) so we returned it today and bought this mattress instead. Omg, I kid you not, he's asleep in his crib as I type for the first time. He's 7months and we've tried so many times to get him in his crib so you can imagine our excitement. It's so soft and the foam feels like its high quality(its very soft yet just supportive enough). It feels like it could be memory foam. I'm still unsure how I'm going to clean it because its not like a changing pad that you can just wipe off but the instructions seem easy enough!

I have a Babyletto Mercer crib which is bit smaller than most cribs with an interior dimension of less than the standard 52" mattress would fit. My goal was to find a 51" foam 2-in-1 mattress and thought this was it!

Although the product description says 51", I had to physically push the mattress into the crib which is so snug I had some difficulty getting it back out. I don't mind the snug fit so much, but am concerned about getting it in with a sheet and mattress pad. Even if it fits with the sheet, how hard will I have to work to change that sheet?

Just FYI - after digging it out of the crib, the manufacturer tag says 52". Don't know if this is Babies R Us description issue or the manufacturer's description error.

I like the mattress materials etc, but will have to experiment more before I decide to keep it.

Just wanted other parents with smaller than standard cribs to be aware!

This mattress fits very snugly in our Baby Cache Montana crib. It is high quality, and I know that it will last through toddlerhood. I can't say yet whether the baby likes it, as he's not due until July, but I am very happy with the purchase. One side of the mattress is firmer for infants, and then it can be flipped to the softer side once the baby becomes a toddler. The medical grade nylon cover was a huge selling point to me, and I know that I won't have any issues with baby fluids leaking into the core of the mattress. It's super lightweight, too, which will make sheet changes a breeze. I love Baby Cache products, and I highly recommend getting a crib and mattress made by them, as they are excellent quality!

I'm having my second child and with my first, DD wasn't a great sleeper until she was around 18 months now that I am expecting my second I want a great a mattress that my DS will have a great night sleep, this mattress looks great and I love how its two mattresses in one which is a great Bargain and the price is great.
