Now, before I start this review, let me say I have spent the longest time absolutely hating the Bratz dolls. I have been a doll collector for quite a while, but have always disliked these dolls. I thought they represented something I didn't believe in... Until my hubby bought me this set.
At first I thought I would return it, but then, I've never been one to reject a gift, lmho!! So I opened the box (after a bit of a struggle, thruthfully) and was truly shocked by the level of quality and insane attention to detail in these dolls' outfits. I'm a big Barbie collector, and even I will fully admit that these fashions have what Barbie has been missing for years! Real metal studs, zippers, tiny little buckles, fur trimming, an impressively wide array of fabrics, and so many intricately stitched details! The last play line Barbie I can think of to have details like these was probably Fashion Fever in like 2005. Every doll has a fabric purse with all of the details aforementioned, and two of the dolls even have fabric hats! Every piece is hemmed and fully lined on all four dolls. Realistically, this pack should cost at least double what they're asking, it's crazy! Of course, it isn't all perfect. The hair on the Jade doll was a little stiff and frizzy, but some boiling water helped take care of that. I also still don't like the detachable feet, but hey, it's one of their signature features so what can ya do, right? =) All in all, I would totally recommend this to any doll collector and of course any Bratz fan. I can for sure say I will be perusing the Bratz aisle a lot more from now on!
