Cute nightlight, it's basically a clear rubber ball with a piece of plastic with Hello Kitty on it (she's holding balloons) and glitter inside. When the button is pressed, a timer starts and the ball is lit up from inside. Glitter starts moving around inside the ball. No music, just a visual show. It has an auto-shut off feature, so this is good if your daughter is starting to have some worries about the dark when going to bed at night. It would be awesome for teenagers too, I think. The ball can be played with, but I wouldn't bounce it around on the sidewalk, or it's going to look like trash. The only thing that really bothers me is that the seam of the ball runs halfway across it, and I don't know why Sanrio didn't design this so that the seam was on the sides, where it's not visible. That just bothers me from an aesthetic point of view, but my daughter could care less...it is Hello Kitty after all.
