Comments about Hasbro 1001119 Nerf Vortex Sonic Proton Disc Blaster:

My sister asked what she could get my nine year old son for an early Christmas gift as she was visiting pre-Christmas. I told her any nerf gun product as my son, my 12 year old daughter and I played a lot inside the house with them. She gave each of my kids one of these guns and we can hardly put them down. They are well built see through plastic structures, which is a pretty cool light neon green. Two thumbs up for build quality and cool factor. They load very easily, with a spring loaded drop down door in the middle of the gun that opens with a perfectly placed thumb latch; one easy thumb push and the door slides open and you stack the five discs in, slide the door up, closing it, pull the slide on the top of the gun back and start blasting. Two thumbs up for quick and effortless loading. The discs come out of the barrel with some velocity and therefor some range. Discs shoot straight and can hurt at close range(one to two feet). You better buy at least two 'cuz you are going to want to shoot back at whoever is shooting at you. Great toy gun. Discs are soft around the edges so perfect for indoor play. I am buying two more for nephews coming for Christmas and though they are not Nerf gun fans according to my wife, these toys are going to be contributing to their quick conversion and I will be on favorite uncle list for at least a couple of months.
