      I bought this for my son when he was 9 months old. He LOVED it. He played in it everyday. Once it was warm enough I added water and it was his first pool (I didn't use it as a sandbox because I already had a seperate one). This toy lasted until he was just over 2 yrs old (he accidently popped it with his plastic screwdriver). He still plays with the balls almost daily. I bought mine in store and it came with 15 balls.

        I bought the turtle for my grandson to use as a ball pit and he loves it. He will even lay in there after he dumps all the balls out. He will rest his head on the side and watch TV. So it actually is a 4 in one. Great product.

            I bought this for my goddaughter with the assumption that it came with the balls..it doesnt. It has them in the picture and doesnt have "balls not included" on the page.

            Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
