Sent it back. Said that the chair would hold children up to 100lbs. I bought it for my son who is three and 33 pounds with the hopes that he could sit closer to the counter with the family since the chair had a smaller base than the large folding one we originally bought. He could barely get into the chair. In addition, I was hoping that it was actually a "high" chair but it was really short, and when I put him close to the counter he was just able to see what was on the table.

I read the previous reviewer's remarks, which are entertaining. But, I think she put the chair together incorrectly. Either that, or the side the sticker was adhered to was incorrect, and therefore, defective. The sticker side should face down--so it's basically facing the floor. In my experience, the chair is as advertised and pictured. It was pretty easy to assemble with the included allen wrench. I had to be careful not to tighten too much before getting each piece in place. My son (age 8) and daughter (age 2) scramble to use the chair at the dining table. The reason I did not give it a full 5 stars is because the bottom foot rest does not have a set of slots far enough down for taller children. The main purpose of me buying this chair is for my wiggly 8 year old, who needed a seat that fit his proportions (back, bottom, and feet), so I was frustrated when there was no space to move the foot part down an inch or two or three.

The chair is compact and has great lines. It is a good alternative to those giant plastic numbers with the cutesy kid paraphernalia all over it. Oh that GIANT warning label sticker with all the warnings and fine print about not leaving your children unsupervised. It's right in the top of the wood and so obvious. I decided that the sticker was suppose to be removed, except someone at Hauck decided that the warning label must be attached with gorilla glue and finished with the same chemical used to seal the black box on a 747. Half an hour and a tube of goo remover later, I have managed to strip off part of the part of the stickers, part of the high chair paint, chipped the chair, broke a nail and stained my white shirt (white shirt was begging for a stain anyway). All the while ignoring my children while they creatively drew on the walls. The moral of the story is, if you remove the label from your water bottle, the "do not remove" tag from your pillows, chew the top of the your pens, pick at loose threads, this IS NOT the high chair for you.
