Initially this toy worked just like the commercial....then despite making certain the back door was closed all the way the handle would not turn. After many tears I returned to the store for a new one. Once again the toy worked very well for the first few plays. The issue seems to be the safety feature preventing the handle from turning. I spoke with an employee who "off the record" let me know that this could be removed which I did. At this point the handle worked smoothly, but the balls (which never were the nice round shape unless I rolled the logs for the children) were misshapen. The tears flowed again for quite some time. I am usually satisfied with play-doh products but this is one that I wish I had passed on.

My kids can play with this for hours at a time. They love it. The colors do get mixed, but it's worth it.

My 4 year old son loved this birthday present. He played over an hour with it. This seems to be the over all issue, it does not work as easily as the commercial makes it seem to be. In a matter of 5 minutes all the colors mixed into this ugly greenish color. Again, my son did not care, but as the kids make more and more turns through the toy, it gets worse. It also does not fit back into the box without totally taking it apart again. Other play-doh toys have better storage. I would tell others to get a different play-doh product.

My 3-year old wanted this so much he actually spent his own money on it. He has played with it several times and can operate it by himself with out any trouble. He still gets excited when he sees it in the store so he must really enjoy it.

we obviously are not doing it right. if you dont put in just the right size of playdoh the balls don't form. Kids like it and played for hours, but once I messed with it the balls were never like the picture. kids said it didn't for them but it kept them entertaianed. Ive had several other playdoh items, this one just doesn't seem to work as well as the others.

Kids played with this today and had so much fun. They actually spent more than a half hour at the table playing which never happens. They had a lot of fun making gumballs and candies and putting them ont eh plates to serve to each other. Really cute and fun toy
