When baby Scout joined our family, we purchased a double stroller. Lulu doesn't mind riding in it most of the time but sometimes she's antsy and wants to get out, however, she isn't quite ready to walk as much as we're out and about. When she sees me carrying baby Scout in the sling, she doesn't want to be the only one in the stroller. The Whisper Ride II , a ride-on car from Step2 has been a fun alternative to the stroller.

Whisper Ride is a very appropriate name for this toddler sized ride-in toy because it's very quiet as you walk along. It maneuvers easily, has a built in seat belt for safety and THREE cupholders. One of my favorite things about pushing a stroller around are the cupholders for parents, Step2 included one self balancing water bottle holder for the adult pushing and two sippy cup sized cup holders within reach of the "driver". The "hood" of the vehicle opens to provide storage space! When we are away from home, we pack a diaper, wipes or snacks. At home, Lulu puts her animals and other toys in there.

The Whisper Ride is very easy to take along in the car; the handle folds under the vehicle and then fits easily into the back of our car. I was most impressed that I could fit the Whisper Ride into the trunk of my tiny Saturn Vue WITH the double stroller, and there was a lot of room for the rest of our necessary "kid gear". Since it is so easy to bring along, we take it everywhere and people have started recognizing us when we're out. We take the Whisper Ride with us to the mall, the park, down the street, concerts, church — everywhere! Lulu goes absolutely NUTS when other kids come over and check out her "ride". NUTS!

Reasonably priced, easy for adults to assemble and available in pink or blue, every kid (50 pounds or less) needs one of these!

I have received the Whisper Ride II from Step2 to facilitate my review.

I just bought this today & it took about an hour & half to put together. The car is so cute & my 18 month old daughter loves it, better than strolling her around. My only disappointment is that after I just about got the car all together there was a defect in the handle, the hole is too low & I cant get it to screw into the car to hold the handle up...contacting Step2 about this. I don't want to have to return it especially after the work of putting it together. There was also no missing parts.

After spending 45+ minutes trying to attach the steering wheel, my wife suggested buying another one. Same problem. Returned 2nd one and called the manufacturer the next morning. Customer Service was apologetic and said they would send a revised part H. A few days later it was received and it took seconds to install. Why do they do that to people? If they have a problem, why can't they communicate it to the retailer?

Tried inserting part S into opening and it would not go. Spent a lot of time drilling out hole to enlarge it. Why didn't the manufacturer make the hole the right size? You won't see drill and large bit on the list of tools for assembly.

The rest of the assembly went well and I hope my granddaughter likes it. Hard to believe that retailers weren't informed of the problems.

My daughter received this for her 2nd birthday and we couldn't be happier! She never wants to get out of her car. Great for kids who hate sitting in strollers, as it is easy to travel with. Instructions weren't great, but still not too difficult to assemble. It could use a little more foot space, but other than that we're happy!

I love this ride buggy as does my 2 year old daughter!!! There are straps so she can't climb or fall out! The horn beeps! It is wonderful at the ball park. My only downfall is that she can't move HERSELF around. If I am busy and can't push her at that exact moment, she can't use the toy. She is big enough that she can buckle herself in and screams until I go UN buckle her. I love this ride along but just keep that in mind!

We bought this for our daughter's 1st birthday and she absolutely loves it! We have had it for about 2.5 months and so far have no problems with it, although the weather has been cold so we have not used it heavily yet. She is 14 months old and still thinks this is the greatest thing! The seatbelt helps alot so she does not try to climb or fall out. We have gotten many complements about how cute it is! I did give up when putting it together and made my husband do it!

Great Buggy! our 10 month old daughter loves riding in it, and pretending she is driving. It's lightweight and fits in the trunk our mid size suv. It's a little stiff when turning, not too bad but enough to notice. Hence the 4 and not 5 stars. I would definitely recommend it.

This toy is very sturdy. It has a buckle for safety, a cup holder for the baby AND for the mommy/daddy pushing. The horn actually beeps. My only complaint is that she can't push it on her own. After walking around the neighborhood for hours, I wish she could play in it by herself in the yard but it HAS to be pushed. It is still very durable, great to load up in the car and take to the ball park, mall, or anywhere else, instead of loading the stroller, load this!! They love it and will stay sitting. (Especially because it has the straps!)

I love this product. It works as a fantastic alternative to a stroller. My daughter gets tired of being in the stroller, feeling cooped up. This is a great alternative that gives her a little more freedom of movement, more things to entertain her, and still gives a proper restraint to keep her safe.
