This was a christmas gift for my 2 year old grandson. His favorite things are cars and dinosaurs, so this turned out to be his favorite gift. He can't change it from car to dino on his own yet, but that does not seem to frustrate him and he will learn. Great little toy for not a lot of money.

My experience with Toys R Us in general is awful. This is the second year in a row that I have been sent broken products. This one was completely missing parts (lower jaw) I cannot rate this product because once again, my grandson received an unusable toy.

My son is 3 and my daughter is 5, and they both love this (as well as T-Don, who we received at the same time). With any toy like this, I get nervous that I'll have to switch it for the kids every time, but that wasn't the case with these. My daughter could immediately switch them both between dino and car modes, but my son took about 20 minutes to figure it out, after seeing his sister and me show him how to do so.

It took us a while to realize that we could customize the LCD screen with different drivers and eyes, but this toy provided a lot of fun before we realized that. The kids have played hard with this and the T-Don toy for more than a month now, and both look brand-new, so they handle wear well! We'll be buying more and giving them as gifts.

My only issue with this toy is that one of his statements says something about his plates looking good for the ladies. While geologists do think that the plates may have attracted mates, I don't want toys for preschoolers to be even a little bit sexualized, so that was a disappointment for me. Soon enough, they will be interested in the opposite gender and looking good to attract others... do we really need toys encouraging it now?

My four year old son loved playing with Tonn. At first I was worried that the switching from one mode to the other would be too tricky for him. It wasn't. Admittedly, I still have trouble myself figuring out how to make him go from dinosaur back to car. My son just laughs and does it for me. This isn't one of those toys where you lift a piece or two up and it goes from a car to a sort-of-car that slightly resembles a dinosaur. The front of the car swings around and becomes the dinosaurs hind legs! It's obvious that a lot of creative thought went into designing this toy.

One of my favorite things about this toy is how it switches. It makes my son feel like a genius because he can do it all by himself- especially because mom can't. Tonn also rattles off some different dinosaur facts although neither of my children seem very interested. My 6 year old daughter enjoys playing with him just as much as my son. The Vtech Switch and Go dinos have provided my two children with lots of entertainment. They spend a lot more time in dinosaur mode than they do as cars, but it's great that the toy is versitile and does both! When in dinosaur mode Tonn still rolls and the kids like to race him with their other dino in the kitchen. I plan on buying them more Switch and Go dinosaurs for Christmas when the rest of the line comes out this fall.

My sons (ages 9 and 11) have both the T-Don and Tonn and absolutely love interacting with these fun, clever toys.

Transformer-like in function, they offer so much more with multiple character functions, sounds, and learning opportunities. It's everything I would expect from a Vtech toy morphed into dinosaur fun.

As a parent I love how the toys entertain and educate. As children, my sons simply enjoy the way the toy functions and keeps them entertained. Some toys head disappear into the depths of the toy box too quickly, the Vtech Dinos are not one of them. They've stayed out in the open and in full play for over a month now.

My boys also have a great time using their action figures along with the Vtech Dinos for creative play.

The Vtech Switch and Go Dinos are very durable and we've had no problems with transforming or functionality.

We have both T-Don the Pteranodon and Tonn the Stegosaurus and my kids love playing with them. When they first seen them they were really excited, so excited I could barely get the package open, as they were grabbing at it. They loved all the features of the Switch and Go Dinos. From the LCD screen with customizable animation, to sound effects and the way the Dino transforms into a vehicle. The especially loved how easy it was for them to transfomr the vehicle all by theirselves. Not only did my kids have fun playing with the Dinos they were also learning at the same time with the interesting facts about each dinosaur that was told by pressing the action buttons on the dinos. My kids are ages 5 (girl) and 7 (boy) so I think these are great gifts for boys and girls ages 3 and up. I have received the VTech Switch & Go Dinos to facilitate my review.

The Vtech Switch & Go Dinos, T-Don the Pteranodon and Tonn the Stegosaurus, have been huge hits at our house!! What more can a 3 and 5 year old ask for than a toy that easily morphs from one of their favorite toys – a dinosaur - to their other favorite – a car!!! Right out of the package these toys provided my boys with hours of fun and imaginative play. In our house attention spans can be short and many toys have a short life span but the Switch & Go Dinos are such a versatile toy that at a moment's notice or at the whim of a little boy…they go from dinosaur to car and the imaginative play continues without skipping a beat. They can go from racing at Talladega to fighting the big mean TRex without leaving the room or switching toys!!! The dinos are also very well made and have survived rough and tumble little boy play very, very well. Through more than a dozen adventures that have taken them inside the house, outside the house, in the car, through the grocery store, and over to grandma's house the dinos still look new and work perfectly. Each dino morphs from a dinosaur to a car and back again and my little men were able to do it with ease. I had to show them the first time how to morph them…after that they did it on their own. The dinos have a LCD screen which is customizable. When in car mode the LCD screen displays a face to facilitate driving the car and dino faces when in dino mode. The boys are able to choose what they want to display in each mode! There are also lots of fun dinosaur noises, dinosaur information and car racing sounds that not only bring this toy to life it also teaches interesting dinosaur facts! We give the Switch and Go Dinos an A+++ and definitely will be purchasing a few for some of our friends that have birthdays coming up! My boys have also been begging for the other dinos to complete their set….I am not going to hesitate getting them for them!!!! I have had success with most VTech toys in the past and the VTech Switch & Go Dinos are no exception. Upon receiving both the VTech Switch & Go Tonn the Stegosaurus and T-Don the Pteranodon in the mail, my 6 year old was immediately hooked. For a little boy who loves dinosaurs and cars, what is not to love? In dino mode, hear this little guy roar, talk and make dinosaur sounds. You can also change which eyes are displayed on the LCD screen. When transformed into car mode, you will hear racing sounds and you also have the opportunity to choose your driver, which is also displayed on the LCD screen. There are over 50 sounds and phrases that come from this fella, so there is no telling what you will hear next! My son loves other transforming toys, but at times has issues with them being too complicated. He had no issues with either of these toys. Both of the VTech Switch & Go Dinos each easily transform from a dinosaur to a vehicle and are suitable for ages 3 - 8 years. Although a child younger than 3 would surely love this toy, I feel that they may need assistance in transforming the vehicle. What was most surprising is that my 3 year old little girl has enjoyed playing with these dinosaurs just as much as my son. She was also able to easily switch from dino to vehicle mode without any assistance.

As a mom, I love how well constructed they appear to be. My kids are certainly not easy on toys and both of these dinos have stood up to their rough play. I am also grateful that they come with both volume control and auto shut off. No batteries? No worries! Unlike many other toys on the market, these dinosaurs come included with 2 AAA batteries! Yay! If you are looking for a reasonably priced birthday gift that is sure to be both enjoyable and durable, I highly recommend the VTech Switch & Go Dinos.

We are in love with Vtech Switch and Go Dinos especially Tonn the Stegosaurus. I love how this simple and affordable toy has a personality. He sounds like a surfer dude. It is so cute. My 4 year old was easily able to figure out how to change Tonn into a race car and back into Tonn. The electronic button features are small and easy for little fingers to push. My son love to change the eyes of Tonn and the driver in the racecar. The racecar is fast too! So it can be used to race around and play.
As a parent I love that Vtech has made a volume control on this toy. It is a mother's dream as it can be quieted down and keeps my son busy playing for hours. And it is very sturdy and has held up well to many, many play dates. I wish they would have had toys like this when I was little. Excellent job V-tech. Thank you for making such a quality toy at a price any parent can afford.
