This may be Scrabble like but who cares? Quit the reviews of it's a knockoff of Scrabble. If you want Scrabble buy Scrabble! Review THIS game for what it is and the quality of it. I've owned and played Scrabble since I was a kid and I also play Words With Friends on my phone and plan on purchasing it as a board game as well if I can find one well made which is why I'm reading your reviews but most are worthless.

The board layout and tile values of Words With Friends are different than Scrabble which makes them play differently. Typically you'll score more points in Words With Friends than in Scrabble due to those differences. If you want nostalgia and the original buy Scrabble. If you want to score more points and play something fun BASED ON THE ORIGINAL buy Words with friends if there's a quality version made. If you're like me and enjoy playing both then buy both! Because they ARE different enough to warrant playing both if you enjoy word games.

You people reviewing this do realize that Hasbro owns the brand that makes Scrabble, right? Milton Bradley, I believe? Not sure if they own the company that makes the online version of Words w/ Friends, but clearly there is a business relationship, if nothing else. This is their answer to a cheaper version of Scrabble that capatilzes on the popularity of the online game. It is what it is, not sure why all the reviewers seem so angry.

This ripoff of Scrabble, popularized by online
fans, consists of a cheesy playing board that
doesn't lie flat, so the tiles are always "traveling". The number values on the tiles, made of some sort of see-thru acrylic, are
difficult for eyes both young & old to read. Should have spent my money on the original.

It is a good game. The only downside is the board is a really thin flimsy peiece of cardboard, not even a durable kind like scrabble boards. For the price it was right, but I'd definitly upgrade to the board with the locking tiles if you actually want this to last.
