Comments about Melissa & Doug Pattern Blocks and Boards:

Nice sturdy wood. Doesn't feel like it will break easily. Good variety of pictures to 'build'.
There are two things I wish it had. First a wooden lid, like a sliding piece of cover that would keep pieces in. Has a great box, but the plastic cover it comes with is the only topper and doesn't attach securely.
And there are a lot of red/hexagon pieces, but not too many pictures that use a lot of them. Maybe don't need so many?
Overall satisfied. It was what I was wanting. Kids who are good with tedious things will enjoy. My 2 year old may be a little young to maneuver the pieces perfectly like she wants too, but she will learn, and can pick out the pieces and put them where they go. She just gets frustrated when she bumps them and moves the already established pieces. But that's the point of this toy, to learn.
