    We bought this for my daughter's 3rd birthday and we were diappointed at best. The toy is pricey and doesn't deliver. Basic issues are that it takes 7 batteries, you have to use distilled...Read complete review

    We bought this for my daughter's 3rd birthday and we were diappointed at best. The toy is pricey and doesn't deliver. Basic issues are that it takes 7 batteries, you have to use distilled water to create steam not tap water, our Thomas has to be played with for awhile before he starts making steam (everytime). Also, the directions state "after several weeks or months, if Thomas is no longer puffing steam you may need to clean or replace the wick that creates the steam" product does come with a 1 replacement wick but I'm not sure what that means for long term use of this product!

      I was very dissapointed with this purchase. I bought it on Dec. 21 and received on Jan 7th. I never had to wait this long on any purchase I have made on the internet even on busy seasons. Next time I will go to any store, where i don't have to wait and pay for a way tooooo loooong delivery. I paid too much for this toy and when I got it the box was all crushed. I was about to return it. but that was what I wanted for my grandson. I will not recommend anyone to purchase anything with you through the internet

        Bought this as a Christmas gift for my youngest son and it was a huge hit. All he asked for was a remote controlled Thomas the train and this toy fit the bill perfectly. Its loud but it makes him happy. Its easy for him to control and the steam function was cool. He has been playing with it daily since Christmas and so far the batteries have lasted.

          We bought this for our 2 year old triplets for Christmas. They love it. The way it steams is amazing. The boys think they have a real Thomas the train with them :D The control is easy for them to drive. Would definitely buy another one!

            Our 4 year old grandson was thrilled. We could not get the package open fast enough for him. Some how I missed the need for distilled water, thank goodness they had some available. It was a great hit and the steam feature was really fun. We all love it. I looked all over for this item and then went on-line and found it @Toys R'Us. Wish it could have a plug-in charger. For the time we viewed toy use it appeared a great toy and entertained children. Thank you!

            This was a major hit with my grandson. His eyes lite up & starting to play with all parts as soon as we could unfasten all the pasrts. He loved the steam coming out of the train & my granddaughter had just as much fun as he had playing with it. A great gift for children.

                I bought this for my almost 4 year old for Christmas becaue he saw it on TV and really wanted it for the steam feature. Ours worked perfectly and he could not be happier. Our steam works great, the controls are super easy and it makes fun noises. He loves it. I only gave 4 stars for the fact that it takes so many batteries. I am happy with it, and so glad I went ahead and bought it.
