Whoever came up with this toy has obviously never had kids!! It takes FOREVER to set up and like a minute for my daughter to use all the dots only to want it set up again. We couldn't figure out how to get just 1 dot out at a time. Besides that, it has a set up for 6 colors and only comes with 4. I would never recommend this product to anyone, in fact I recommend you don't even consider this product!!

My 5 year old saw this on TV and saved some money from his birthday to get. Upon opening and putting it together, he noticed the blue and pink pens were not in the box.
Come to find out you have to buy those seperate. It also only comes with 2 stencils.
We bought the underwater themed set and I wish I had talked him out of it.
He did the stencils included and then got bored.

I should have listen to the other reviews...very bad choice on purchasing this toy..awesome commercial..but very bad product..magnet screen not stronger at all ...dots are practically microscopic very small..do not come out in rows like shown in commercial..very easily lost...daughter hated the the toy and so did I. DO NOT BUY I wish i could return I could return..LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS

Bought this for my 10 year old daughter for Christmas because she's been asking for it for a while. The magnets do not come out of the pen in a line- she can only do one magnet at a time- and the sorting system really does not work well either. She had to sort them herself which took forever. Very disappointed.

My daughter was very disappointed with it as well as me. The magnets fall out of the pens. They do not slide out when you drag the pen. When you slide the magents into the back it is hard to get them back into the pens. Wish we could return it.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my 10 yr old daughter. She desperately wanted it even after reading some not very positive reviews.
My daughter loves this toy. It is bright and creative and the 3D really does work but only with the templates provided. The magnets and the design surface are smaller than we expected. They are easy to sort if you are patient and they do back into the pens. It is a great toy for creative, patient, older children but I think children under 7 would get quickly frustrated.

My five year old son was sold on this product's catchy commercial. Santa brought it and his excitement was crushed. It doesn't work nearly as well as it is shown in the commercial. The dots all fall out of the pens at once. They cannot be stacked as advertised. It is supposed to "click" when each magnetic dot is released, it does not. It is shown as able to refill with a few easy shakes....an adult has to liberally shake it for at least five minutes...in order to get it to refill. (quite the arm work out!) As a result, my son cannot just play with this on his own. I am getting tired of his growing frustration with a product he had such high hopes for. Don't recommend:(

The metal chips do not come out like they're supposed to. The magnetic surface isn't strong enough. It's a major pain to get the pens in position to reload and the little chips still manage to fall out even with the slides shut. For the price, it should come with the pink and blue too but you have to buy those separate. Very flimsy design. The 3D looks pretty neat but overall, this toy is not very impressive! My kids played with it for about 15 minutes and haven't touched it since. Waste of money.
