The Britax Marathon 70-G3 Convertible Car Seat ? Azalea accommodates children rear facing from 5 to 40 pounds and forward facing from 20 up to 70 pounds. The Marathon 70-G3 is purposefully designed and engineered to minimize the forward movement of your child's head during a frontal impact to reduce the risk of head injury with the following revolutionary Britax head safety technologies: Base with SafeCell Technology designed to compress in a crash, significantly lowering the center of gravity and counteracting the forward rotation of the child seat. Integrated Steel Bars strengthen the connection to the vehicle and reduce forward flexing of the child seat during a crash. Energy Absorbing Versa-Tether features a two-point attachment and staged-release tether webbing to slow the forward movement and reduce the crash forces reaching the child. The Marathon 70-G3 also incorporates Britax Side Impact Protection to contain the child and protect from the most severe types of crashes. The five-point harness is tangle-free with an EZ-buckle system to retain the harness buckle in a forward position and harness holders that keep harness straps pulled to the sides to make boarding quick and hassle-free. Other features include a no-rethread harness and an easy-remove cover that also allows access to belt paths from the front of the seat, while the multiple buckles and recline positions, comfort pads, and infant body pillow provide premium comfort and positioning.

This is the most amazing car seat. We were in an awful accident about two weeks ago, and the seat saved not only our daughter's life, but she had ZERO injuries. She was completely protected. I have always thought the seat was great - awesome style, color, padding, etc.. but after seeing how it actually holds up in an accident, I'm forever grateful for this car seat. I would and will recommend to everyone. After the accident we needed to replace the car seat, and of course we again chose this same one.

Side note - if you have a smaller car, the seat can be extremely bulky if rear-facing. Once my daughter was heavy enough to turn forward, the problem was solved.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Love This Seat! I have two of them in the back of our Ford Edge and they fit great, not to big or bulky. I love that they now have better padding to be more comfortable for my little ones as compared to the cheaper seats out there. This seat is also so easy to strap into the car and adjust straps while baby is in it.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I bought this carseat to use from birth and on. But, my little 8 pounder just didn't sit in there right because, my car seats angle. My daughters head would tilt forward onto her chest. But, now she's 2 months old, and 14 pounds. Perfect.
I installed it all by myself which, makes me proud. I used the latch system and after a minute I got it in. No biggie. Carseat barely budges.
Best of all, she's so comfy in it and safe. When she sleeps her head doesn't fall forward, but just rests on the soft buckles. She won't be able to see much out the window ever because, of the sides but, I know she's safe. It's pretty huge although, it fits great in my Honda Pilot.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

So I received this carseat and was replacing a britax infant carrier. I just love the seat, even though it is a little bit heavy (I don't change it out too often), to me it makes me feel that my child is protected well. I had a britax marathon 5 years ago, and they have changed the design of the seat, I love this new design. The seat is easy to clean, easy to latch into the car, and easy to move when needed. Very easy to get my child in and out as well. Great seat! Love it, and Britax!
