We bought this for my 2 year old as a Christmas present - 2012. It is light weight and she has no problems picking it up when it falls over. The tires are made of foam rubber so no need to worry about air pressure. She rode it a lot in the house and up and down the sidewalk. She turned 3 at the end of August and at the end of September we acquired a 12" huffy. She learned to ride it in two days - only two riding sessions. My wife and I were amazed along with all of the neighbors. She was three years and one month old riding a bike! Couldn't have done it with out this balance bike. The price is right compared to others - completely worth it!

This bike is very simple to put together which is great. The recommended age on the box is 2 1/2 - 5 yrs so I thought it would be perfect for my son who is 2y & 7mo old. Not so much...I usually love radio flyer products but this one is simply too big for my 2 1/2 yr old. The seat is at the lowest position and he can barely touch his toes to the ground and he is 34" tall. I think this product would be great for taller children or 3yrs & up. Returning this bike today and going to try a different brand.

Comments about Radio Flyer Glide & Go Balance Bike:

We bought this bike for our 2 year old and he loves it. He is trying hard to balance on it and he is getting better and better.
This will help him with his balance and focus and will make it easier for him to learn how to ride a bike.

Comments about Radio Flyer Glide & Go Balance Bike:

I bought this bike on clearance assembled for around $30. It was for my nephew's 4th birthday. My nephew had a regular bike with peddles (and training wheels), but he is kind of small and was having a hard time getting the peddles going and thusly couldn't keep up with other kids (also with training wheels). I purchased the bike in June... (people had opinions about it being a waste of money and making the kid lazy) ... two months later my nephew picked up a neighborhood kid's bike and just started riding it... NO TRAINING WHEELS!

Don't like the slack in steering stem

                By Posey

                from Robbinsville, NC

Comments about Radio Flyer Glide & Go Balance Bike:

During assembly I was concerned about how week the handle bars mount to the sterring stem with only a clamp. Once I assembled it I found a lot of slack in the sterring stem. I also didn't like the foam tires. Looks to me like the foam tires could cause a lot of wrecks in the outdoors. This bike would probably be great for the indoors.

It is too long of a reach for my 2.5 year old. And with no adjustment for the handlebars I'll be returning it. Everything else looks great outside of the tires as I would prefer them to be actual rubber and not dense foam coated in some thick black paint. Would be great for indoors for a taller rider and/or outside on DRY ground. Wet grass or surfaces won't have much traction. Gravel as we have will more than likely chew up the tires before long and our second kid will more than likely require a different bike by the time he is ready.
