We can fit my daughter's LeapPad2 inside its neoprene case, her headphones, her charger, and a few game cartridges. The backpack has soft sides, so you will need something else to actually protect the LeapPad2. There is enough room to store the accessories. You could really use any small bag, but it was just easier for us to get this, and my 3 1/2 year old knows its her special place to keep her "computer". She knows to put everything away in there when it's time to clean up. We originally bought a hard-side case for the LeapPad2, but it does not hold the charger or headphones, so we returned that and got this backpack. It suits our needs well. (There are mesh pockets inside the bag to hold accessories.)

We got our 6 year old daughter a LeapPad 2 for her birthday. She has a Leapster 2 which she takes everywhere she goes, so I knew we would need a carrying case. I was torn between the clam shell case and the backpack. The game doesn't fit in the clam shell if you have one of the gel skins on the game, so I went with the backpack. My daughter loved the backpack, as it was easy to carry and held everything she needed....games, headphones, cartridges, etc. The bag is a little small...but that's fine as if it were bigger, she would want to cram it full of more things. The problem is, that because it's small, the straps were hard for her to get on, and within less than a week, one of the straps had popped off and now it's sitting on the shelf useless. For future versions, I would recommend the straps be a bit more flexible, as well there be better pcckets inside for the games. The extra case you can buy to put in it is nice, but I prefer only have slots for 3 or 4 games like the other cases. Less chance to lose a lot of games at once.

I bought this for my daughters 4th birthday. She already had a LeapPad and she was getting a Tag and a few books as well. She loves it, I wish it was a little bit bigger tho. Her LeapPad, game cartridge holder, Tag, 5 books, and headphones barely fit, I struggle to get it closed. So most of the time, the headphones aren't even in there because I don't want it to break. But over all, it works and she loves to wear it around!!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The backpack is great for holding the leappad2 and accessories which is exactly what I wanted it for. Could be a little bigger in size, it's a little small for my 6 1/2 year old but overall serves the purpose we wanted it for. Perfect size for me 2 yr old to carry.

My daughter was so excited to have her first backpack, but the seam down one of the straps ripped within two days of Christmas. She still loves her Leappad and can carry the backpack, but it is obviously falling apart.

The backpack holds the Tag reader and a couple of books-just wished it would also hold my granddaughter's iPad as well. Just a little too small for that; however, easy for my 4 year old granddaughter to carry with her and fits everything else perfectly.
