    I bought this for my son's 9th birthday party. It did exactly what we wanted. The mic was loud enough. The music was loud enough--like a small boombox. The kids loved it.

    We bought a CD-G. Tried to connect it to the iPod, but the audio cable I had didn't work. That was the only drawback. Wish there were an iPod dock; I'm not sure what cable will work. Other than that, it was great and I would recommend this product in a heartbeat.

      Arrived in time for Christmas and my granddaughter loves it! It is easy to set up, lights are great, color and appearance are perfect for a teen!

      Your rewards program is not very useful to me since you do not allow them to be used/redeemed online. I try to purchase most of my gifts online...

        Actually got this item after returning a different karaoke machine for Christmas that failed to work. This machine met all our expectations and was cheaper than the first one. My daughter, 6, loves the lights and is easily able to use the controls. She loves that she can use her MP3 player (which is how she uses it most often). I bought her another mic so she can sing with friends. We love that it is portable but we keep it plugged in to save battery unless she is "performing a concert!"

        We have not attempted to hook it up to the tv. So we have not tested this feature.

        All in all we LOVE this product!!!!

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

              Just picked up this karaoke machine from Toys R Us for my grandson for Christmas. Thought I'd better test it out so he wouldn't be disappointed if it had problems. I have to say I am really impressed with this little machine. It is better than I expected for the price. The machine itself is very intuitive to operate. The sound quality is great, but it also comes with a jack so it can also be plugged into a TV. You can use a regular CD or purchase a CDG if you want the words to scroll across the TV screen. (I did not test this part.) The lights are also very cool and can be turned on or off. Also states that songs can be downloaded and played through an mp3. The Singing Machine has a website where you can download current songs for a reasonable price. Met all my expectations.

              Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
