The screen doesn't display words at all. We returned the frist one and got another, the new one doesn't work either. Very disappointing for my daughter on her birthday!

I purchased this for my 6 year old to give to her as a Christmas present. It worked for 2 hours total (over 2 days) before the screen stopped working. I returned it for a new one. The screen stopped working on the second one after 1 week of using it. It is poorly made and you can barely hear the singing about the music regardless of how you adjust the controls. I returned the second one and will buy a new brand. It is NOT worth the money.

You can see the words and hear yourself but you can't hear the music when singing. We tried all the dials. Can't return to store as we threw away the box with Christmas trash. Manaufacturer is going to send a new one but had to push for this as they wanted me to send it to them then they would send back - 4 to 6 weeks. We will see if the new one will work - said I would have it in 3 weeks!!!

I searched for weeks on every site imaginable for a karaoke machine suiting for a 5 year old but something worth the money and that we could all play on for family game night. I came across this one on and since my daughter loves (shake it up) I thought it was worth looking in to. I read such bad reviews on cheaper priced karaoke machines so I was skeptical, but I'm glad I went with this machine. It has a great design, my daughter loved it, a good sound quality, could be a little louder mic vol and music vol, but it's well worth the money. When the setting on back of machine is adjusted the graphics show up great and are easy to read. It comes with the hook up to play music from an ipdo, or ipad also which was a bonus. It play's CD CD+G, and DVD + the IPOD or IPad music, the machine even has its own holding places for the Iopd/Ipad!. It shipped quick, was in excellent condition and worked grreat too. Glad I bought this!

When the item shipped, I noticed the box was severely damaged. When I took the item out of the box first think I noticed was that there was no protective foam holding item in place. Looked like the item was just thrown into the box. Secondly, it was missing the manual, cable cord adaptor and AUX cord. At this point I was very upset. I Didn't want to disappoint my daughter so then I went to the store to buy The missing cords. As soon as he got the cords the connection was very sensitive when thus shut off. I also noticed that CD doesn't play at all. Returning ASAP.

My kids opened this on Christmas morning and right out of the box, the screen would not work. It was very disappointing for them. We were able to exchange it and the replacement works perfectly. My girls absolutely love it. My rating would have been a 5 based on the replacement machine but because we first had a defective unit and had to replace it, I am dropping it to a 3.

I wanted this machine to work and I wanted to love it! But, the AC adapter was missing from the box, not problem. Got the required 12 volt adapter to get it going. Then 10 minutes into use, it shut down and stopped working. The lid to the CD didn't want to stay closed, there was damage to the back of the machine (also fine if it would just work) and you couldn't really hear your voice over the music despite turning down the volume for the music. Overall, it was very cheaply made and definitely not worth the money.

My daughter was given this as a Christmas present. Took it out, plugged everything in and guess what? It did not work. The CD played, but the words would not show up on the screen. Going to take back tomorrow and return it. Nothing like getting a broken gift on Christmas to make for one unhappy child. :(
