Love this stroller. When I was pregnant I knew this was the "one". My family and I went to BRU and each of us tested it. I love that the handle of the stroller adjusts to three height adjustments. The basket beneath runs deep, so you can store a lot of things (like my husbands/daughters jackets, diaper bag, etc). The two cup holders up top, as well as on the tray are used frequently. When my daughter was a newborn I loved the way the stroller folded flat, and had the latch to secure her from any wind/people trying to touch her feet. The shade is perfect, and I love the multiple settings. As far as fitting in my car, I have no problems folding the stroller down one handed. I then position the handle bar down, and it fits in the truck of my Hyundai Elantra JUST FINE! I can even put groceries around it.

I do not find the carseat bulky or heavy. My 18 month old still fits comfortably in the infant carrier (it's our backup carseat) and on top of the padded insert.

We loved the Chicco products so much that we invested in a Chicco nextfit for her.

This blue is gorgeous. Hopefully we can make use of it once more.

We purchased this travel system because it was economical and seemed functional as new parents. The car seat works great snapping in and out of the base and the stroller. However, the stroller with the car seat is not functional at all. The basket on the bottom is close to useless and can store only thin items. You can forget about going to the mall and using it for storage. The front of the stroller is so bulky that it can barely fit in any isle while strolling indoors during the winter and shopping. While most isles should be handicap accessible, the stroller wheels cannot turn to fit tight corners. The stroller is also not balanced well and has tipped backwards while going down a ramp with only the diaper bag on the handles. Very scary!

The one thing I like about the stroller is the way if folds and can fit in the truck of my sedan.

My 6 month old is so cramped in the car seat now at only 18lbs. He's not a big baby if the maximum weight is 30 lbs, which is insane if you plan on carrying the car seat with a 30 lb baby. The car seat is very heavy. I did not have a chance to carry it as I was pregnant and I couldnt lift anything more than 10 lbs. That there should have explained everything but you live and learn.
Overall, I am in the market to fit a new travel system or stroller.

Comments about Chicco Cortina Travel System Stroller - Pegaso:

I chose this system because it was VERY easy to break down and open. Many of the travel systems in the store were hard to open back up after breaking it down! Loved the color and stored well in my Nissan Pathfinder. Carseat was easy to install too! My son outgrew it fast BUT he is a big/tall boy!

Comments about Chicco Cortina Travel System Stroller - Pegaso:

We chose this travel system, and my mother-in-law bought it for us as a gift, but I wish we had chosen something different. The car seat is super heavy without even putting the baby in it. We live in a 2 story walk up, and I had to carry the car seat up and down every day when the baby was sleeping. It was incredibly heavy! It also is very hard and barely has any cushion (once you take out the infant insert), though my baby always seemed content, I thought it felt very uncomfortable. The stroller is bulky and takes up a lot of space in my trunk. The biggest thing I hate about it, is when my baby sits in the stroller (without the car seat), the leg position is either all the way up causing him to keep his legs elevated, or all the way down causing his legs to sort of dangle. There is no position in between where he can just sit up with his legs straight out. The basket at the bottom is small too, and I can barely store anything down there. The only things I like about it are the pretty blue color, and that the car seat provided decent support for my 4 lb. preemie. In my opinion, you could find something much better for the price or even cheaper!

Stroller is really nice looking the canopy folds down to the front to cover from sun, however it is very bulky when folded leaving no trunk space. we can only take it with us in our SUV. After 6 months it has started to squeak and wobble with no way to tighten it. The car seat is great but super heavy without a baby in it. I would look for a different stroller if I had to buy again.
