      I bought this toy chest because it goes perfectly with my son's sports themed room. I did not anticipate how time consuming and difficult assembling it would be. First of all, when the item came in the mail the box was undamaged but the two pieces inside were warped. Second, the directions were written in French! It appeared that you simply poke the screwdriver through the groove to insert the bolt and nut. That wasn't happening. My husband had to drill each hole. Then the nuts wouldn't fit. No tool was small enough to fit in those grooves to attach the top and bottom pieces. Luckily my fingers were small enough to at least get the nut afixed to the bolt. In all, this was a real pain to assemble and the instructions were misleading...besides the fact they were all in French. I gave this 2 stars based on the assembly. My kids like it and it looks nice in my son's room. Hopefully it will hold up.

      Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

      This toy chest is a nice and cute accent for my son's sports themed room. However, this product is pretty awkward to assemble. It requires a ratchet, but came with the screws and nuts to attach the top part of the soccer ball to the bottom part. The space to tighten the nuts is far too narrow for a ratchet to fit. I had to improvise with a screw driver and needle nose pliers to get the screws on tightly. Also, I had to apply decals for the black parts of the soccer ball when I thought it would have automatically come with them attached or painted on. Other than the assembly concerns, I am satisfied with the functionality and appearance.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

        Perfect addition for storage and decor purposes. It holds a great deal and can help one stay organized especially with a large amount of toys. Perfect for encouraging little ones to clean up after playtime. Quality is great and matches the Step2 standard and very kid-friendly.
