I just bought this microphone today from my local Toys R Us and wasn't sure if this would work for my picky 6 year old. I opened the package and checked it out and I must say it is pretty awesome! We do not own a karaoke machine, but my daughter wanted a microphone that she could sing in. This karaoke microphone plugs into my iPhone and plays music through it's speaker and allows you to sing along and be heard through the speaker too. I think it works just fine - it sometimes doesn't pick up high pitch notes, but I'm not sure if I need to hold it further away, but in all it is pretty cool and can't wait to see her face when she uses it!
