Graco Glider Elite Swing is a revolutionary gliding swing that soothes with the same gentle motion you use when cuddling and comforting baby in your nursery glider. The first Graco Infant Swing was created in 1953. Graco Metal Products originally manufactured car parts, but when one of the founders left the company to pursue other interests, the remaining partner, Robert Cone, decided he wanted to try and manufacture something new, he just didn't know what.

That's when David Saint, an engineer, presented Cone with a revolutionary new idea, a wind-up infant swing. Saint, a father of 9 children, was inspired by a friend's wife who soothed her tired baby by swinging in a backyard glider swing.

The Graco Swyngomatic went on to sell millions, and Graco was official out of the car parts business and into the baby product business. Today, Graco continues to design and develop innovative childcare and baby products including the imonitor Digital Baby Monitor and the compact folding Contempo Highchair. Graco Baby Swings are still one of Graco's top-selling products.

      This was our second swing. Had originally bought an expensive fisher price swing that did not work. Got this swing home and loved it so much! it is a lot smaller and my baby loves it!! It is very easy to use and it is 2 pieces in 1 which helps when the space you have is not large.

      We originally bought one of those swings that turns two different directions when we were expecting our son. However, he hated it. He wouldnt sit in it for longer than 30 seconds before crying. Needless to say I gave up after a couple months and we ended up selling the swing. However now that he is 7m old and still fighting naps(he didnt even nap as a newborn)this mama is desperate for something to help! I was hesistant to buy this one, as it glides instead of swings..however I figured my baby didnt like normal swings so it couldnt hurt to try! And let me tell you, we LOVE it. He is taking his second nap of the day in it. He is around 18lbs and it swings at a good pace, unlike a few other swings we had tried that would barely move with his weight. I love that I can sell my bouncer and keep this for any future children! I also love that it has a higher weight limit of 30lbs.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

          We love this product and it has returned my sanity. My infant was constantly fighting sleep, daytime and night. So many times she was almost out only to awake crying. This bouncer/glider is amazing. The glide puts her at ease and lulls her into a deep sleep. The vibration of the glider is added comfort and not always needed unless used on its own. The swing plugs in, though the bouncer is battery operated.

          We can take the bouncer easily to the sitter and she seems more comfortable in this seat as it's more plush and adjusts compared to the less expensive Graco bouncer. The adjustments don't seem significant though. The canopy is a nice feature. When we move the glider within the house, it's not difficult to relocate either as I thought it might be. There were many parts to assemble but we did it in two phases, bouncer then glider.

          Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

            I purchased this mainly for 3 reasons: the 2:1 feature of bouncy seat and swing, AC adaptor, and it's smaller than all those swings with the huge, wide feet. I bought this at a local store today and assembled it tonight alone, which took about an hour. The assembly was not as smooth as I anticipated but the finished product is better than I expected. The store hadn't yet assembled one for display, so I bought this without seeing it assembled. It is really great to have a bouncy seat to just take with. (No baby yet though). It is overall light weight. The gender neutral design is great also. We are having a girl, but I don't like all the bright pink and flowered patterns. This is very sudtle and relaxing. Overall a great purchase for the 2:1 and the price is reasonable. I know I will save alot on battery costs in the future. Altought it has to have batteries to run even if plugged in but I'm not sure why. I hope I can rate this 5 stars in the future after daily use, but wanted to get a review on here since there are none. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and the biggest challenge was assembly but I love how it looks and fits in our living room!
