Boulder Bowling

By TitaniumSkylor2015

Comments about LEGO Legends of Chima Boulder Bowling (70103):

So-so, I'm not that big of a fan towards this speedorz set. The objective of the boulder bowling set is to knock over as many boulders as you can and, hopefully, get more than whoever you're challenging. (Inside one of these rocks is a chi orb). My favorite part about the boulders is that you can stack them any way you want. The speedor in this set belongs to King Crominus himself and even features the gold helmet printing like the minifig. It's a light green and has nice detail. I like the cards and weapons in this set along with King Crominus considering the only other set you can get him in is Cragger's Command Ship. So, the function of this set is not the greatest in my opinion and plenty of other speedorz sets certainly triumph it but the speedor does work well and the minifig is nice to get. The thing I don't get though is why Crominus even gets a speedor since he fell into the "Gorge Of Eternal Depth" within the first three episodes. Well, if you like what you see then I would recommend this set but if you want a fun challenge, I feel like this set is poor and there are plenty of good alternatives if you want a speedorz set.

All Hail the King

By Rath

Comments about LEGO Legends of Chima Boulder Bowling (70103):

this is one of my favorite lego chima speedor sets. i really like the speedor and the way its related to the character is amazing. crominus is my favorite chima minifigure so of course i had to buy this. i like the way that u can arrange the boulders any way and also use them as a sports game in other lego sets. i also like crominus' weapon and also the red jewel that is in it. the combination of the maroon cape and the golden harness, weapon and helmet makes the minifigure outstanding. i was a huge ninjago fan until chima came out and now i'm a chima but i still like ninjago. All hail the king!!

If you're older than 7, you shouldn't buy this.

Comments about LEGO Legends of Chima Boulder Bowling (70103):

I thought about giving Chima a try but turns out I really do not like it. I was a Ninjago Fan all the way,but this is a dissappointment to me because Chima is from the creators of Ninjago. The set appealed to me for a day, then I realize: "Older kids and teens probably don't ike this, especially if they are former Ninjago fans." I'm sorry LEGO, I give this set and theme an overall thumbs-down.

Crush those boulders!

By WaltJr

from Brick

Comments about LEGO Legends of Chima Boulder Bowling (70103):

This is a truly wonderful new theme for young builders! Legends of Chima is really awesome idea for younger children and I am sure it will be a very promising theme! The characters are supreme, I think the best that LEGO has to offer at the moment, and the vehicles are so cool! I love the animal heads! Character - Crominus is a very detailed minifigure and one of the coolest crocodiles in the theme! The details that went into his helmet and armor were very cool and I especially enjoy the double-sided head, torso piece, and detailed legs. Also, the Chi harness and cape work really together and look awesome! Amazing! Speedor - Chompor V12 is one of the prime features of the set (and also racks up the price!), and is really a unique, fun build. The ripcord is really unique and offers a lot of help towards younger players. The croc-shaped Speedor itself is really cool and offers plenty of cool detail! Chi Challenge - This is probably the worst part of this set. The boulders are very hard to set up standing because they often fall over and this is a very unportable set! Also, the orc of Chi never comes out of the boulders because they don't break unless they're dropped from about two feet up in the air. Also, someone needs to hold the ramp and the boulders-challenge when on a slippery table or floor so that Crominus doesn't send it flying! Nevertheless, this is a fun set to play with (because knocking over boulders is just fun!) and fun to pair up with Target Practice. Sometimes I use the ramp to knock over the raven targets, and sometimes I use the 'missile launcher' to knock over the boulders. I just wish they would split open! Cards - The cards are very cool and have beautiful art of Crominus, his Speedor, his power-up, and his two weapons! Some of the cards can easily take the upper hand in battle when using Courage (the lion/bear like symbol). Also, the Chi bonus is pretty good for most of the cards and usually makes a good win every time. Power Bonus and Weapons - The power bonus in this set doesn't do too much except for get entangled in Equila's Gyroropt and balance out the weight. I'm guessing this makes it go faster. I'm not sure, though, because he usually can't clear the ramp fast enough to knock down "all" of the boulders. My personal favorite of this set is the weapon entitled 'Grandiorus' which consists of a gold lightsaber handle with a red diamond on one end and the new "Chi Sword" on the other. Inside the new sword piece is a red lightsaber blade. Now, the weapon is definitely too tall for the character carrying it, but it is still really cool and awesome looking! Krank is just some random, slightly boring, silver mace. The card isn't that good and neither is the weapon so I won't go into much detail. So, yes, this isn't the best Chima Speedorz set in the line but is an easy and cheap way to get Kign Crominus with his Speedor, cards, and this awesome range of weapons! This is a totally awesome set that you should get if you are beginning Legends of Chima or just want a fun, new LEGO toy! Even if they seem cartoony or for younger children I totally recommend this new line, especially if you have younger children, friends, or siblings- as is my case! I'm a teen and like to play with them with my three younger bros who absolutely adore them! I just think they are cool!

Boulder Bowling Explosion!

By Tragi

from Lehi

Comments about LEGO Legends of Chima Boulder Bowling (70103):

I got this set about a week and a half ago, but finally getting around to review it now. I work in a bland cubicle with nothing to really entertain me or to keep work more than just an eight hour bore. So I like to buy the smaller LEGO sets and keep them at my desk to help time fly by. When I first saw these Speedorz sets, I knew I had to get one. But which one? Ultimately it came down to the fact I get to destroy a whole rock wall in this set. The card game that is included in this set is pretty fun, but you need another set for it to be really fun. Until then, you get to marvel at the great artwork that went into them. The whole build was incredibly easy, and figuring out how to use the Speedor wasn't as hard as I imagined. Although, since I have big hands, it is a little hard to hold onto it at times. The rock wall was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. Most of the time I find myself trying to re-arrange the boulders for maximum destruction. Using the ramp is great. It usually knocks down the upper two levels. But it all depends on how far away the ramp is, and how fast the Speedor is going. Sometimes I like to try and clear the entire wall, which definitely isn't easy. My favorite is having an opening on the bottom row in the middle. Without using the ramp, you launch the Speedor into the wall, and the entire thing explodes in every direction. Pretty entertaining, including for the curious co-worker across from you. Crominus is a pretty cool minifigure. He has a double sided head, but the changes in the two are so small you can hardly tell a difference. His golden sword, don't recall the name of it off the top of my head, is pretty cool but I feel like it is much too big for any minifig to hold. But that is my own personal opinion. For only $15.00 it is definitely worth it. You only get 93 pieces, but the Speedor and the fun you will have more than makes up for it. And combining the set with others makes for an even better experience.* Most of the time, I ignore the wall and try to just see how far or how high I can get the Speedor to go. The fact that this can go on carpet is enough to sell me on it. *If playing this at work or other non-fun-loving places please be advised this is extremely entertaining and you may find yourself in hot water.

Comments about LEGO Legends of Chima Boulder Bowling (70103):

This is my first Legends of Chima set, and I have to say, I'm impressed. This Speedorz set comes with 1 minifigure, 1 Speedor, 1 ripcord, 2 weapons, 6 chi, 5 cards, a ramp and boulders to knock down. King Crominus is AMAZING. He has claws on his feet. He has ripped clothes from his leg printing to his torso printing. On the back of his torso, he has a crocodile logo. His gold armour is a great new piece. It has a stud to hold chi at the front. On the back, there are 2 studs. The red cape is ripped and worn out. It has holes in it, which is unique. The face is double sided. One is normal, while the other has a squint to it. The head piece is really cool. It has gold on top and green on the bottom. It also has teeth. The 2 weapons are a regular silver mace and a gold and red weapon. This one is really cool. It has a red lightsaber piece and a red crystal at the bottom. The speedor is very fun. It is lime green with a bit of gold. There are teeth on this sides. 2 black pegs hold the green piece and the grey piece together. There are 2 claws at the back that you can detach. To attach Crominus on the Speedor, lift off the green piece and sit him down. Then place the green piece. Use the ripcord to let it run! The chi are all the same. They are all crystals coloured in transparent blue. There are 5 cards in total - 4 battle cards and 1 character card. There are 5 boulders for you to knock down. You use the ramp in front of the boulders to make you go higher. One of the boulders have an orb of chi in it. Overall, this is a really fun set. I could sit with it for hours knocking down the boulders. The only downside is that the ripcord is too much like Beyblades. so the shape could have been changed.

Comments about LEGO Legends of Chima Boulder Bowling (70103):

For $15 you get an awesome Crominus Minifigure with an awesome Chi Powered weapon You also get 5 cards: 1 player card and 4 battle cards The Speedorz are great because they work on almost any surface, and you can play alone, unlike Ninjago to have fun you needed to play with someone else. For $15 this is a great buy.

king crominus

Comments about LEGO Legends of Chima Boulder Bowling (70103):

first up king crominus rocks he has a battle worn dark red cape and golden weapon personally I think that the speedorz are much better than the ninjago spinners as they work on carpet and look better the value for money is great as you get a 'challenge' for crominus to tackle the only downfall is that the chima figs printed headpiece looks daft but when you put the ' helmet' on it looks a lot better
