Comments about Hasbro 1001119 Kre-O G.I. Joe Playset - Battle Platform Attack:

I bought this set almost on a whim. I like playing with Legos and I have a fondness for GI Joe, so this satisfied two likes into one package.

You actually get a lot of pieces with this set. And with that, here's the downside to this package. There was a lot of baggies and they were not organized. They seemed almost rather random. At least LEGO numbers their bags.

I spent almost an hour organizing the pieces because it was really diverse blocks with tons of small pieces. When I was done, I had a lot of trouble working with the instructions. The illustrations are not always as clear as they can be and it gets hard to distinguish the dark grey pieces from the black on the illustrations. It took me at least another hour to put the motorcycle, the helicopter, and Cobra hover vehicle together. And those were small vehicles!

The base itself was rather easy to construct. It was a bit tricky to get some pieces together and I ended up breaking up a few connections and having to reassemble a piece again. Again, LEGO is a little more friendlier with their planning and instructions, even with their huge complicated models.

Once assembled, it was actually a cool looking set. It really screams "Yo Joe!" with their feel for the classic Joe vs Cobra. You get a neat playset for Duke and Roadblock. You get a prison to put your Cobra Commander in and two Cobra soldiers and vehicles to rescue him.

The final assemble product is great. If your a fan of GI JOE, this set is a good starter. I'm going to be picking up the rest and hoping to see more. It is also a good price when you came to its bigger name competitor.
