My daughter was so excited to get this gift. It was that one gift she asked for, that I had to get her, no matter what. It came with the 3 figures of Sully, Mr. Incredible and Jack Sparrow. I also bought her Anna and Elsa from Frozen, Mike Wezoeski from Monsters Inc., Sorcerers Apprentice Mickey from Fantasia and a pack of power disks. I wasn't exactly sure how the power disks worked at first. The starter pack also includes 2 random power disks. The base has different shapes on it so it's easy to see what figure or disk goes where. Basically, a square peg goes into a square hole, situation. The power disks are all different and do different things. The ones we got give us the Candy background from Wreck-It Ralph, a purple flower background from Tangled and a horse to ride from Mulan. The more you play the game and each figure, the more things and activities you unlock.

The toy-box mode, you can build worlds and it's great for kids with huge imaginations. Which I love because imagination is becoming a thing of the past. And like I said the more you play the mini games for each character, the more things you unlock to build with. There are also pre built worlds you can play in and add to. This is only a one player mode though.

The adventures And mini-games are two-players. Every character has different mini-games and once again, the more you play, the more you unlock. Most of them are timed games where your character has to collect a certain amount of balloons before time runs out.

We just got this game for Christmas, so we still have a lot of playing and un-locking to do! I was happy that it wasn't a game that falsely advertised. I mean, my daughter wanted it so much, it had big expectations to live up to, and a few weeks later she is still into it and wants to play it as much as she did when she opened it up. My daughter is 7 and it is age appropriate for her. When she's not around I find myself wanting to finish a game we started or finish building a world we left unfinished, by myself!

The only real negatives I have about it is that the 2.0 just came out. The 2.0 is, from what I understand, a lot like the 1.0 but it's a whole new system that you have to buy. You cannot use the 1.0 characters with the 2.0 or vice versa. My complaint with that is the 1.0 characters are being dwindled down and hard to find in stores. The 2.0 has characters the 1.0 doesn't have that I know my daughter would like but can't use. I understand coming out with a 2.0 Version, it's inevitable. But I think the characters should be able to be used with it. But that I understand is a complaint I'll have to make when I buy the 2.0 possibly next Christmas.

Besides the non-interchangeable characters, the reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because, I had to return the original starter pack because the game disk wouldn't read in my Wii. The first initial play everything was fine. Put the disk in and it played, no problem. The second time, I had to keep taking it out and putting it in because it kept saying disk read error. All my other games have no problem playing the first time they are put into the system. So I returned the original one I bought and got a replacement. The disk is still doing the same thing. I don't know if my specific Wii just has a problem reading this specific game or if other people have had this problem also. I've had 2 different Infinity disks and they both do it. While none of my other games have ever done it. It eventually works but the one time I had to take it out and put it back in 13 times before it would read the disk. No one wants to deal with that. Like I said I don't know if other people have had this problem or if it is specific to my Wii but none of my other Wii games do this.

If it weren't for the disk read problems and the characters, I would give this game a 5 out of 5. It does what it advertises and my daughter is still enjoying it weeks after Christmas. Every parent knows, it's hard to find something that keeps their kids attention for more than 5 minutes, let alone weeks after Christmas!

This is an awesome game BUT...if you are looking for Multi-Player BEWARE!!! Specifically on the Wii console (not Wii U) the two player only works in the "Toy Box Mode" NOT in the "Play Set Mode." We read ahead of time that each "Play Set Mode" works only with its own character figures (i.e. Mr. Incredible and other Incredible characters work in the Incredibles Play Set Mode, but Captain Jack Sparrow does not work in the Incredibles Play Set Mode...but rather the Pirates Play Set Mode). Therefore we bought two characters from each of the Incredibles, Pirates, Monsters, and Lone Ranger so both kids could play against each other. The box says two players. Online says two players can play in playset mode and up to four can play in toy box mode. We spent HOURS figuring out why the second player was not being recognized. Lone Ranger without Tonto!?!? Mr. Incredible without Mrs. Incredible!?!?! FINALLY, we found a little blurb in small print on a different website that stated the multi-player modes only worked on HD consoles which are Xbox 360, PS3, and WiiU...NOT Wii. On the good-ole Wii it is not an option for the Play Set Mode. We returned the starter pack to Toys-R-Us who happily and cheerfully exchanged it for an Xbox 360 version (Luckily, we have an Xbox 360 also). It works GREAT on Xbox 360 and everyone is happy. The game is spectacular on Xbox 360 but I have given 1 star since the Wii version was useless for us. So thank you to Toys-R-Us for being so understanding in the return of an open product. As for DISNEY....I am perhaps Disney's greatest fan...but your marketing and labeling on this product is sorely lacking.

Hard to find item for the Wii and especially on sale. Finally got email that it was available online only and on sale! Ordered and hoped it would arrive before Christmas and it came one day early! She loves and has played it daily since Christmas day. Easy to set up, several characters to choose from. Only con is that it only operates with 1.0 characters and not as many as 2.0.
