I used a traditional diaper bag for the first year of motherhood. I found it to be bulky and hard to find things inside. The backpack diaper bag has made my life so much easier. I purchased this diaper backpack two months ago. It is so much easier to access everything. I love how much storage space is in the main pocket. I can store several days worth of clothes and supplies for my son while we are traveling. The backpack is lightweight and comfortable. It is so much easier to get around with the backpack freeing up my hands. The only negative with this bag is that the lid to the wipes box gets caught on the edge of the fabric preventing it from closing without a little maneuvering.

I have been using this diaper bag for five and a half months now and I really like it. There are actually six outer pockets (not four, as the description reads), and some are labeled with a little picture on a tag that tells you what's in it (diapers, wipes, pacifier, bottle) which is very handy if you're married to an impatient daddy who doesn't like searching through pockets. Honestly, there are so many outer pockets that you may not need all of the room on the inside of the diaper bag unless you're going on a trip and need to pack a lot of extra clothes, toys and snacks. I love that the wipes are accessable on the side; if you're expecting your first child, let me tell you that it can be tricky to hold a squirmy baby with one hand and open a regular container of wipes with the other. This diaper bag holds the container making it super easy to grab wipes with your free hand during a changing. It's also awesome when you're on the move and need to grab a wipe for a quick cleanup job, which is a regular occurence! Having said that, be warned: the plastic wipes container that comes with this pack is not made very well (the lid almost never stays closed), and you will probably wind up ditching it for the disposable packs they sell in stores. I tried to replace it with another reusable plastic one, but those lids open in the opposite direction and you can't open them through the oval opening in this bag.
Another thing the description doesn't mention is that the bag can easily be fastened to hang off a stroller or shopping cart, since it comes with special straps for that. Also, the pacifier pocket at the top can fit an Android cell phone, credit cards and cash. I hook a pacifier case to the handle of my bag and use the pacifier pocket to substitute for a purse so I don't have to dig through my bag at the checkout counter. (I also keep a small clutch inside the bag for times when I let someone hold the baby so I can run to the restroom.) Also, I use the front pocket to hold the changing pad because after it sits on the germy diaper changing tables at public restaurants and stores, I don't want to put it inside the bag with my baby's toys and clothes.
Overall, I would recommend this diaper bag if you're a mother of one to three kids, if you're more about efficiency than sleek looks, and/or if your Significant Other does't want to carry around a girly bag. :o)
