I got this set almost a week ago, and have now built two of the three variations of it (the Family House and the Mediterranean villa). It's such a colossal set for many reasons, such as: It features a lot of elements that are found only in the more expensive sets typically, that add a much more polished look with incredible detail, and it actually has a little bit of furniture that you build for inside the house (bed, lamp, desk, etc), and the light brick included is beautiful for the living room light, or the fireplace light, and I love the arched ceilings which add a lot of elegance, and the multi-colored roof even makes it look really nice too. The buildings have so much detail that it has taken me a few hours (at least!) to build them - and I have built hundreds of Lego sets so I am not a novice here, by any stretch! This creator set is not complicated at all, but just a nice lengthy build due to the detail. This makes it an exceptional value for the low price, especially considering that it has over 750 pieces too. I am so very happy with it that I might even buy a 2nd one so I can have two of the builds on my table simultaneously since they look so very nice once built! I can't recommend this set enough. It's my absolute favorite of the entire Creator series!

When I got my package, the first thing I took was the family house. I think it could be a bit bigger. The garage can fit the only one car that is included. When I was building I was missing about 10 pieces. The light brick is an amazing feature! Pros: Light brick, big balcony, nice features, removable so you can see inside Cons: Small house & garage, missing pieces

About Me Parent Of Two Or More Children, Stay At Home Parent
My 4 year old son picked this house out, mostly because it has a garage door. The easy to follow instructions make assembly a breeze, the only problem I had was that the batteries for the light brick were bad and needed to be replaced (next time I will check this prior to assembly), regardless, we had the replacement batteries on hand and were able to reassemble the upper portion of the house without problem.
Good value, great build
Really like this set. One of the best 'City' or building-related Creator sets in my opinion. It is fun to build, and has quite a variety of pieces. It is just complex enough to make it feel like you are getting good value for your money. And that light brick just seals the deal. I can't wait for more sets like this - more light bricks too!

This was a fun kit to put together. It was very easy with instructions and the light brick is the best feature.
Hourd of fun and frustration :-)

Lots and lots of peices, but that's part of the fun
Great Set, Nice to see more residential buildings.
I find this set to be great as a residential building, and a fine addition to any city. I put this in the residential area of my city, which has other houses, along with other amenities as well. This fit in nicely with other buildings, and made a nice, modern looking addition. I would say that this set made what might be the best addition to my residential area, excluding the un-hauntified haunted house. I recommend this to anyone wanting a nice, suburban addition to their lego layout.

When can i move in
Love the massive chandelier and light brick was amazing to make took my time doing it but my one criticism is its a family home but no children a baby in a pram and child would have set it off amazingly and a family car as apposed to the sporty one here but keep up the good work Lego
This house was something ...
This house was something I bought on a whim a while back, and I haven't been disappointed. It has some flaws, but overall it's a very good set. The main design is well thought out and interesting, and the set includes many basic useful parts for your own designs (I created a fairly large train station complete with platform from just the bricks in this set. - It was a little sparse in places and could've done with some extra parts such as chairs, and extra grey plates, and such to help with minor details, but for a single set with a relatively low cost it was impressive.) The alternate designs included are also interesting, but a little less well thought out than the main model. It avoids having lots of large structural parts (except perhaps for the staircase), and instead opts for lots of basic bricks instead (especially common are 1x6 bricks) - Of course, it is part of the Creator range, so this is to be expected. Using lots of smaller parts does of course make it more time consuming and difficult to put together, something which you might wish to think about if you are buying one of these for a child. However, the upside is the flexibility it gives you to build lots of other things from the parts. There are a few interesting minor features, such as the chair, parrot, and remote control car, but overall the design is better seen from the outside than the inside. The construction is such that you can easily remove the upper level, and fold the whole thing open to make it easier to play with, but when you look at the inside the design starts to look a little less well thought out. There are some interior details, like the fireplace, and bed upstairs, but overall it feels very sparse and empty, like a lot of what you'd expect to see inside a house just isn't there. There are also some minor details that are a little off. For instance, going from the top of the stairs to the base of the upper floor is a much bigger jump than any of the steps on the stair, and just a little on the big side. The minor flaws likely wouldn't deter children much, and the lack of interior details probably won't bother too many either (though there may be a few children that do) For adult collectors the sparseness of the interior is a little disappointing, but there are many ways this could be fixed that are probably not such a big deal to an adult collector. (One observation I would have here is that you could easily combine two of these sets into one bigger house, keeping to the same overall style, but making a bigger house with a more convincing interior layout. Another alternative would be to adapt the high ceiling holding the light fixture into another room on the upper floor.) Overall, this is of course not directly aimed at adult fans. (with the likes of the modular building series and such around, this does of course look fairly simple by comparison), but it makes a good relatively cheap house, and the selection of parts it contains is mostly very useful for a wide range of building projects. The car and minifigs add a nice finishing touch, and I'm sure are a good addition for playability. In summary, it's a good, interesting design with a useful collection of pieces, and makes a reasonably interesting playset. However, it does have a few rough edges, and can feel quite sparse in places, especially inside the house itself.
A Decent LEGO House
As far as the size of this house is concerned, you get a fair amount for your money. The pros of this house are: Very spacious garage/living area nice car awesome minifigures But as with everything else, this house also has some cons, including: Tiny bedroom simple furniture garage is connected directly to the living space, which leaves less room for furniture.
