I have a 3 year old & a newborn its great to keep them in one stroller for walks or outings. This stroller is so versatile & easy to use. The more I use it, the more I love it. It's even lighter than my single seat baby jogger which was a surprise to me.
My 3 year old wanted a shade & a reclining seat too that's why I picked this over the sit & stand. When my older child is ready for the sit & stand part, I can just take the back seat & shade off.

Let me start off by stating I really had hoped this "WAS" the stroller and it would fit my needs as my girls are just over a year apart. Not to mention that this company is one of the longest outstanding companies to offer the double / tandem stroller.

I HATE this stroller and have regretted it since the first day I used it. There are so many design flaws in this stroller, in which I recently learned the company has not fixed in the last years since the purchase of mine.

The design flaws really should be addressed and these are items you don't think about in practice use, since the store surrounds does not allow you to get a true feel for the stroller in a controlled environment, including smooth strolling.

The first time i used the stroller talking a walk down to the park, and a normal sidewalk that has some uneven panels (totally normal) toward the end of winter, and the front canopy just collapses on its own. It won't stay open. I had to constantly stop and stretch open the canopy.

The canopy appears to be more on the narrow side and leaves your child somewhat exposed to the elements. You can tilt the canopy forward or backwards, but in my opinion still lacks accurate coverage.

The back canopy is attached to the frame. It is not wide enough either have a downward shade, so unless you plan on your child in a permanent recliner position tis a no go. The back canopy does unbutton in which you you can try and tilt forward to protect your child but nothing to hold it in place so either is rests on the tray or you have to keep it attached to the frame.

It appears no matter which direction we walked the children did not have enough shade coverage on either canopy.

The back seat never says fully inclined. The child sits more in a leaning back position. Which forces my child to try and pull her self up holding onto the tray to stay up. Then what is the purpose of the seat if its not providing any back support?! Over time the back strap which is more like a slipping mechanism continues to gradually slip even further to a reclining position . The strap does not lock into place.

The under carriage has a harder plastic bottom to the basket. It is constantly getting caught between the front foot step and the back one which will not allow you stroller to close. .

The "ONE HAND" close of the stroller is a LIE. Try its works best with 4 hands. And unless you have grown an extra two pairs of hands not so user friendly when on your own with your two or more children.

Not to mention the fact that the wheels have to be facing a particular direction and perfectly aligned for it to collapse.

You can only imagine the fight you have to go through to close it down and just imagine when you are sitting on the jetway trying to get the stupid thing to close so that you can give it to the baggage handler.

And don't forget to lock your wheels entirely before you try to collapse the stroller or it just rolls away and since it is a bit bulky hard to manage an easy roll back.

Plan on using two hands and a momentum swing to get it into the back of your car. Have a SUV, not full size, and it definitely has to go in at an angle to fit. We had to rent a full size car when we went out of town to ensure the stroller would in fact fit in the trunk.

Really consider these design flaws before you purchase this thing. Hopefully this reviewed open your eyes to the reality of the practical use of a stroller and this fails in so many ways

PS i couldn't give this **0** stars as it required I pick at least one...But ZERO is my response

Comments about Baby Trend Eclipse Sit 'n Stand Double Stroller - Spark:

GREAT for any caregiver or parent! This is an over-all great buy if you have, plan to have, or care for multiple children! Multi-way/multiple infant seat placement with options for older children. The storage below isn't the biggest on the market and can be a little cumbersome when trying to store with larger child in the back. Other than that I found a few issues with converting the back seat to a bench style seat, but that is something you get used to the flow of as you use it. Also, although my older child is within the weight limit, she does have some issues with room as regards to her height. For an "average" sized child, this SHOULDN'T be an issue (and really isn't too much for an "above average" sized child, but they may be more comfortable WITHOUT the other sun cover.) Over-all I am completely satisfied with this purchase and would recomend this.

Product is great, works with Graco carrier. Older child can sit facing forward, or stand facing forward. All other double sit-n- stands have the toddler facing backward when they stand...um, hello! The point of the stroller is so they can SEE! Cup holder and tray for each child, durable, goes over bumpy sidewalks wonderfully; no need to kick it up the bumps at all.

    Good things about this stroller-
(and this is only why I give it 2 stars)
    - Parent tray is nice.
    - both children have snack trays.
    - Its cheap
-it fit our infant car seat (Safety First OnBoard Air 35)

Things I hate about this stroller--
-heavy!! and HUGE !! I have a GMC terrain & it would not fit in the back of my SUV!
    - the basket was so small my diaper bag would not fit.
    -the canopy absolutely SUCKED
-when pushing this stroller I felt like I was pushing a bus. It was absolutely horrible!
    - with both children in the stroller it seemed to be tight. Our two year old couldn't recline while in the front seat without basically laying in the childs lap behind.

Would not ever recommend this to anyone.

Comments about Baby Trend Eclipse Sit 'n Stand Double Stroller - Spark:

I use this for my toddler and newborn. I love the fact that this will go with us for a long time. I can easily set the baby's carseat and then use the actual stroller seat when he's older. It's not too bulky but you have to make sure the front wheels are facing a certain way before your can lock it close to put away either in your vehicle or closet. Also it takes some getting used to because at first it is difficult to maneuver around. i dont know if it is because of the weight difference and also the length of the stroller but I did get used to it after awhile. All my dislikes aren't that big of a deal to me I still like the product and my kids seem comfortable in it as well..

I have a 2 year old and a 4 month old. This stroller works perfectly for my two boys. I chose this stroller because I already had a Baby Trend car seat and its an exact fit to carry my infant in his car seat on this stroller. The only bad part is that it doesn't have too much storage space, but other than that, it's a great stroller.

      terrible!!!

By one mad and broke twin mom!

      from clarksville indiana

Comments about Baby Trend Eclipse Sit 'n Stand Double Stroller - Spark:

Bought this stroller because my twins were growing and our Snap n Go just wasn't cutting it anymore. Needless to say it has been awful. My biggest problem is the back seat doesn't even fully sit up so my child is constantly trying to pull himself up to see anyting, he is basically stuck in a reclining seat. My second major problem has been trying to get the darn thing to fold. i have had to take off the trays and remove the basket just for it to fold, every single time. And third the canopys are terrible- nothing more to add to that. I am very dissapointed and do not recommend anybody to buy this stroller.

The stroller is nice with a toddler and new born. Using in the mall or department stores is great. The wheel base is not much longer than a single stroller and is very maneuverable in the narrow store aisles. The storage area underneath is hard to get a diaper bag into but a minor problem. The stroller is long when folded to put into a car. I broke the front sun shade when folding the stroller. Baby trend sent me new part to repair it with in a week.
