Comments about Mamas and Papas Mamas & Papas Sola Stroller - Blue:

I exchanged the Armadillo stroller for this. Both strollers have the awful 5 point harness similar to a jigsaw puzzle that takes everyone five minutes to figure out. It would have been safer to use a simpler system than one so complex that people may give up and never use it, leaving the child unstrapped. Personally I'm probably going to super glue some of the parts together.

This stroller fully reclines which I've discovered is rare these days. Odd. You pinch tabs in the back of the seat to recline it. But to raise it back up you simply push it forward. It's not locked into place when reclined. I can see that being a problem. It was almost a dealbreaker. Oh well. I'm finding that with baby products, no matter how much money you spend, products are only halfway thought out, like they designed it up to a point then just gave up. They never really test it out. No product ever feels fully finished.

Okay back to my review. The storage basket is accessible when the seat is reclined. What a concept! Shocking. You can actually use this basket. Also when the seat is reclined there's still room for your legs. You won't be kicking the back of the stroller.

Don't expect this stroller to be lightweight or fold compactly. There's no carry handle and no real way to stand it up when folded. Well I guess you can't have it all. The Armadillo had storage basket issues, didn't fully recline, and had no leg room, oh and the harness straps didn't adjust tightly enough for small babies...the Sola stroller does all those things. So I found what I was looking for. I would just change a few things. But that's the case with all baby products. My baby was very comfy in this stroller the two times we've used it. Excited actually because she can face me and really stretch out. It's a very smooth ride. The materials ooze quality.

I got this on sale for $300. Would I pay $400? No. But for $300 it's what I wanted. I'm keeping it.

Comments about Mamas and Papas Mamas & Papas Sola Stroller - Blue:

This stroller is wonderful. Sure, it is on the pricey side, but you are paying for quality. While Babies R Us does not accept coupons on this product, most stores have this item right now on clearance (my guess is because the Sola 2 is coming out, or it was too high in price for BRU clientele). I was fortunate enough, or patient enough, to purchase this item on clearance.
Some reviews have commented that it is heavy, but, I haven't found that to be the case. In fact, I also have the BOB stroller, which I love, but the BOB is very bulky and takes up nearly my entire trunk. The Sola however, fits in just half my trunk when it is folded. Now, clearly the BOB & the Sola have two very different functions, so I am happy to have both, but I bought the Sola to replace my click connect travel system, that like the BOB, takes up my entire trunk. I loved the click connect for toting around the infant car seat, but it is no longer practical. The "big boy" sear is too bulky and takes up too much room.
The sola has a great euro chic design. The wheels move comfortable and easily, and you can literally swivel the whole stroller in a 360' motion with little to no effort expended. The seat can rear or forward face. The stroller comes with a rain hood as well, which is a nice added feature. If you are concerned about not having a cup holder, almost all of the universal holders fit well. The bottom compartment isn't huge, but I am not really sure why you would need more room. It fits my entire, and rather large, diaper bag. The handle bar removes very easily to put your child in the seat. The only thing that took a bit of adjusting was folding it up, but once you figure it out, its quite simple. Also, the wheels in the front lock in place so that if you are on slightly bumpier terrain, you can navigate with greater ease.
There are dual front and back shock absorbers. The handle bar adjusts to three different height positions. There is a quiet magnetic closure peek-a-boo window so you can see what your kiddo is doing. There is also a wrist strap to keep your stroller close at all times. Finally, the break leaver and release is comfortable, easy to use and flip flop friendly.
Bottom line - yes, it's pricey. But it is a high quality, well-engineered product.

Comments about Mamas and Papas Mamas & Papas Sola Stroller - Blue:

I love my stroller. Glad they brought back strollers that you can turn your child around to face you. The system is very easy. What I don't like about the stroller is that it does not fold down completely flat, storage under the stroller is very shallow. I still would recommend this stroller but not at the full price. I was lucky and patient enough to buy it on clearance.

I use the stroller to get around with my son, it's real easy to put together, the only thing that's not so good about it, is that it's kind of heavy,my only suggestion is that they lower the price so it can be more affordable.
