Nosefrida "The Snotsucker" Nasal Aspirator

The Nosefrida "The Snotsucker" Nasal Aspirator is a safe and effective way of cleaning your baby's nostrils. The non-invasive design forms a seal outside the nostril instead of going inside. Then by the power of your own mouth, you can create the suction necessary for aspiration. The pieces come apart for easy cleaning.

Product Highlights

  • Non-invasive design forms a seal outside the baby's nostril
  • Parent-powered mouth suction is strong and effective
  • Pieces come apart for easy cleaning
Safe for baby
The non-invasive design forms a seal around your little one's nostril - instead of inside - to create the vacuum necessary for aspiration.
Parent-powered
Use your mouth to draw upon the mouthpiece end to create a desired suction that is strong and effective for clearing out your little one's nostrils.

Product Description

Nosefrida, the original doctor-developed and doctor-recommended nasal aspirator is the new standard in keeping babies naturally snot free. Ingeniously simple Swedish design features a tube that is placed against the nostril (not inside). Parents use their own suction to draw mucus out of their child's nose. Disposable filters prevent any bacterial transfer. Nosefrida is easy to clean, top-rack safe, and BPA and Phthalate free. It is superior to the bulb aspirator, presents no risk or harm to internal nasal structures and is dramatically more efficacious.

Let's get this part out of the way and into the open... the thought of sucking out snot with a straw is disturbing to say the least. The friendly picture of a mom doing just this on the front of the package won't do much to help ease your trepidation. In fact, the first time I saw this product I laughed and passed it by swearing I would never do anything so disgusting!

Plain and simple fact, your child WILL get a cold or two within their first year. Seeing that infants have very little in an established immune system that means lots of stuffy noses, snot and boogers that YOU will have to deal with. With a stuffy nose it will be difficult for your baby to eat and sleep as babies tend to be nose-breathers. This will mean lots of fussiness for the parents. When your child is producing what seems like gallons of snot, THOSE TRADITIONAL BULB-SUCKERS JUST WILL NOT CUT IT!

Out of pure desperation I bought the Nosefrida. I felt like the mom and baby on the front of the package were mocking me with a look of "We knew you'd be back." Now, I can honestly see why... This thing is AWESOME!!! If we look purely at results, the Nosefrida wins hands down compared to the competition. While its design is extremely simple, it is cleverly built in a way that prevents you from accidentally swallowing something from your baby's nose. It has a filter but in my experience (and I've had a lot at this point) the contents you remove from your child's nose very rarely make it that far up the tube anyhow.

The Nosefrida allows you to use enough suction to effectively unblock your child's nose quickly and safely. I was very hesitant at first as I didn't want to accidentally create so much suction in my son's nose that I'd pop a blood vessel or something. This was not the case at all. While my son generally doesn't want me bothering him with such things, I can tell that he's learned to know the sight of the Nosefrida means he'll be able to breath well again when its all done.

On top of all of this, the Nosefrida is very easy to clean. It seems to have a non-stick surface that allows a quick rinse with hot water to remove all of the tube's contents.

I don't at all think it will ever seem any less weird or disgusting to use the Nosefrida, but I otherwise have nothing but good things to say about it. BUY THIS!

We've ventured into many different brands of nasal aspirators but this was by far the least effective. Our trials are conducted on an 11 month old that has been very stuffy in connection with the seasons and teething. We have the hospital-standard issue, the Little Noses, the Safety First pump action, the Safety First battery operated with music...and the Nosefrida. Nosefrida has not earned a place in pur arsenal though my baby loves to hold the tube! The suction seems insufficient for the. , the tip is too large for direct suction on specific areas...even when they are visible to the eye. I bought the device with high hopes, as well as extea filters and have had no success at all though I have tried multiple times. I generally just resort to the hospital standard issue and make do. I have had no snot-sucking success at all with Nosefrida.

Comments about Fridababy Nosefrida ""The Snotsucker"" Nasal Aspirator:

I got the nosefrida. The snot sucking nose aspirator. I was told by my lactation consultant to get it. It worked great. It was easy to use and didn't bother my baby. Sucked the snot right out of there. you take the one side of the tube and put it right to her nose. Not up it or you may hurt your baby. Take the other side of the tube and breath in the snot. Don't worry, you won't be eating your babies snot.

      I would definitely recommend it.

Comments about Fridababy Nosefrida ""The Snotsucker"" Nasal Aspirator:

I have to admit, I was skeptical at first.. However not as skeptical as my husband! But, within the first use we were turned around! The snot-sucking power of the Nosefrida is by far the best on the market. Everyone told us the suction bulbs you get from the hospital work the best.. Well everyone was wrong haha. The only downfalls would be trying to get your baby to stay still to maximize the amount of 'goop' you can relieve them of, and the sound said 'goop' makes upon its departure.. Blegh! BUT, I would truly recommend this product to anyone with a stuffy baby.. It's the BEST booger buster you can buy ;)

Comments about Fridababy Nosefrida ""The Snotsucker"" Nasal Aspirator:

"Snotsucks" the boogers right out. My daughter was so congested. I used the typical blue bulb several times, but was only getting little bits out of her nose & she hated it. She wasn't eating a lot since her nose was clogged. I was disgusted when reading I had to use my mouth on a hose & "snotsuck" the boogers out! This product is awesome! Use it all the time. The edge just rests at the nose. I've never had a booger even come close to getting anywhere near my mouth as they all stay contained in the lower tube portion.
Product is easy to use. Although my daughter does scream, it's much faster & you get more out using this vs. other nasal products. I will say putting saline drops in & massaging the nose helped get things out quicker. It died recommend it on the box & I would recommend as well. Using it dry didn't always work.

No amount of sucking worked. I was out of breath trying to use this product and I'm a very healthy person so it's not as if my lungs weren't strong enough to do the job. My son was still while I was using it so that wasn't a factor either. I'm disappointed because I never liked the automatic nasal machines. I was so excited about this because I felt I could control the amount of suction for my baby, making it safer but when it didn't work as I had hoped, I was just disappointed.

My co-worker recommended this item and now I tell every new parent about it. My 2nd kid had a lot of nasal congestion when he was first born and currently. I found that this helps clean him out and is easy to use vs the blue bulb that they give out at the hospitals.

I've used the nosefrida a couple of times now because I heard it's the best way to go and I agree..I've tried other products but they don't get the yucky nose gunk out as well as the nosefrida and my baby didn't seem too bothered by it either. The only thing I don't like is how I have to breathe in really hard to get a simple booger out and doing that over and over again can get tiring.

I used the Nose Frida after reading an article about how the hospital mucus suction bulb builds mold, even if it's cleaned good. I was mortified so I bought this product in which is easy to see the mucus coming out of your baby's nose and it is easy to clean for the next use! It comes with extra filters, but I would recommend buying the filter pack aside from this product as well.
