The Play-Doh Big Barrel stores all of the compound and accessories and you can take it along for fun anywhere, anytime!

The Play Doh brand is proud to celebrate over 50 years of colorful, creative play. Play Doh first introduced in 1956, Play Doh modeling compound has become a classic and beloved toy, used in homes and schools around the world by children of all ages. In 1956 Play Doh Brand modeling compound, a non-toxic reusable modeling compound developed by Rainbow Crafts in Cincinnati, Play Doh was demonstrated and sold in the toy department of Woodward & Lothrop Department Store in Washington, D.C. Play Doh compound is available only in one color and size, an off-white, 1.5-pound can. One year earlier, Play Doh was introduced to schools, kindergartens and nursery schools. In 1991 Play Doh compound joins Hasbro, Inc. as part of the Playskool line, when Hasbro purchased the Tonka Corporation and its Kenner and Parker Brothers divisions.

My 3-1/2 year old loved it! He was able to do the things himself, without too much adult help and especially liked the safe scissors and knife to use with the Play-Doh. I'm glad I bought this product, and hope to buy other similar items in the future - I think that as any child grows, he/she can always find additional ways of playing with it.

My son loves the toys that came with this! I've tried to get him into play-doh, but he would just try to eat it or through it. I bought this in hopes that it would spark his interest and it did wonders! He plays with it several times a week and spends a good hour playing. I do like the idea of a reusable bucket to store everything, I just wish I could get everything to fit back in!
