Although my son was entertained by the lights and music, I don't think it's as educational as the old fashioned version. The post the rings slide down is straight instead of cone shaped, allowing any ring to fall all the way to the bottom. He has enjoyed playing with this toy quite a bit, but I'm not sure he's learning as much from it as he could have.

      I got this for my 4 month old daughter she loved the colors but still to young for it. I still like the toy and can see the her playing with when she sits up. If the indivial stars lit up that would be nice to. but other than the top falling off real easy it is a good toy.

        My 14 month son loves this stacker, plays with it everyday. The sound is an added bonus but not even necessary, batteries ran out and never replaced them, he never even realized. Good colors, good size rings for him to grab.

            My older daughter got this for her first birthday and loved it, and 3 years later, my second daughter played with it and loved it. It lights up, it's musical, it's clearly durable since it's been able to last through two children (and probably will last through more.) It's a wonderful spin off of a classic stackable toy.

            My mother bought this for my 6 month old daughter. It is now one of 3 favorite toys.She loves stacking the rings on it. She will stack it by size, and if she puts a smaller ring on, she will leave the bigger ring off even if it ends up being short. She will also stack it upside down with the smallest piece on the bottom.
