Description



The classic game of strategy which takes "a minute to learn, a lifetime to master". Othello is one of the easiest games in the world to learn, yet it's endlessly fascinating. Players flank their opponents' disks in order to flip them over.

Ruth and Elliot Handler and Harold "Matt" Matson launch a new company named Mattel out of a garage workshop in Southern California in 1945. The first Mattel products are picture-frames, but Elliott soon develops a side business in dollhouse furniture made from picture frame scraps. Harold Matson soon sells out to his partner, and, encouraged by the success of the doll furniture, the Handlers turned the company's emphasis to toys. I started playing this game with my best friend. We found it in an old box and we got hooked. It is so fun because you never know who is going to win. There is not one strategy to this game. It is a lifetime of learning. Now all the younger cousins play the game. It is our family game and I plan to play it with my kids! I recommend this game to anyone looking for a fun mental challenge!
