Rockem Sockem Robots Game. The classic game of rock 'em sock 'em is back after 35 years. The original robots red rocker and blue bomber are featured in the game. Object of the game : Players try to move the robots into position and hammer their opponent robot until his block comes off.

Ruth and Elliot Handler and Harold "Matt" Matson launch a new company named Mattel out of a garage workshop in Southern California in 1945. The first Mattel products are picture-frames, but Elliott soon develops a side business in dollhouse furniture made from picture frame scraps. Harold Matson soon sells out to his partner, and, encouraged by the success of the doll furniture, the Handlers turned the company's emphasis to toys. This game IS JUNK!!! it doesn't work how it is supossed to, the heads pop up on their own, the robots barley even touch, the ring pole with string was too short so one of the poles would not go in (therefore we had to leave it off the game). THIS IS THE BIGGEST PIECE OF JUNK EVER!!!! NOT WORTH THE [$] I SPENT ON IT! Very disapointed boys. Not like the old version I was used to playing.

My husband and I used to LOVE this game, so we got it for our 8 year old son. It was not only hard to put together, but very cheaply done. The heads would pop up if you sneezed on it, and it would take longer than game play to try to get the heads back down!!! The ring kept falling apart, the robots kept falling off.....VERY, VERY, VERY CHEAPLY BUILT! LIKE EVERYTHING RE-DONE TODAY, IT'S A CHEAP, HURRIED RE-MAKE! If i could give it 0 stars i would!

My grandson was excited to get the game, but when playing it he had some trouble pushing down the levers. Also, it didn't seem like the punches connected very well and waiting for a head to pop up took a very long time. It seemed they "didn't get in there closely" very easily for him to punch his opponent. Hasn't played it since Christmas day.
