Each player/partner is dealt a stockpile of cards and then attempts to win by playing all these cards on building piles in numerical sequence from 1 to 12. Skip-Bo is from the makers of UNO.

Ruth and Elliot Handler and Harold "Matt" Matson launch a new company named Mattel out of a garage workshop in Southern California in 1945. The first Mattel products are picture-frames, but Elliott soon develops a side business in dollhouse furniture made from picture frame scraps. Harold Matson soon sells out to his partner, and, encouraged by the success of the doll furniture, the Handlers turned the company's emphasis to toys. I had a set of the original cards 25 years ago,but,
they fell apart due to constant use. I am glad to
receive a replacement. The cards are smaller and
different in design,but they are great and my husband and I are having a ball playing the game.

I discovered the online version of Skip-Bo and loved it. I was thrilled to find the card version at Toys R Us online, and for such an affordable price. Since receiving it, I've played Skip-Bo many times with my little sister and we love it. The concept is simple enough that you don't have to constantly check the rules, but you quickly figure out your own strategies. It's a great game in every way.

A friend introduced me to Skip-Bo about 15 years ago and my family has been playing it ever since. A lot of fun, and it just takes a few minutes explanation to start to get the hang of it. Learn how much your friends and family like you by how hard they try to block your next play. ;-) The game can take a while to play if you have a lot of players, but we vary the length by increasing or decreasing the size of each person's pile of cards to dispose of--I couldn't even tell you how many cards the rules say you're supposed to get anymore, sometimes we deal each other 20, sometimes we go up to 40 depending on how much time we have.
