This product has worked well for my toddler. She has not been able to climb over (and she is a good climber) or knock over the gate. I only use this gate keeping my toddler in an area and to keep away from the stairs. I would not use this type of gate in a high traffic area as you cannot carry or hold on to your lil one and take this gate on and off. Therefore it is not easily removed which was my goal. For the stairs or high traffic areas an actual swinging gate may work better. This gate is not easily removed and if this is your goal it will work well for you.

The original idea was great for this product but after having it for a couple months, something ended up stripping. Now it won't lock in place. I would not recommend purchasing this just for this fact. I am just going to stick with the old wood style baby gates.

We use this gate at the top of our stairs. We love that it adjusts to walls that aren't perfectly straight (if your walls are plumb consider yourself super lucky).

Our little guy (a very tall and strong 15 month old) can yank all he wants on this gate, but it never budges. The rubber feet really keep it secure!

We've opted not to anchor to the wall, so we can bring the gate to the bottom of the steps to keep him from climbing up the steps. We can easily carry him in one arm and carry the gate in the other.

One of the feet on the gate did make a mark on our paint, but as most gates have more damaging pressure attachments or require you to anchor to the wall, I consider the damage minor. With a kiddo, there's no way your walls are going to stay perfect!

Would buy again in a heartbeat and recommend to friends.

THIS GATE IS AWSOME!!!! great value, sturdy, and just what I was looking for! I bought 2 and i'm using them both as swing gates. One for the top of the stairs and the other in the doorway in my childs room.

We tried to mount several gates at the top of our stair case and wound up taking them all back. The beauty of this one is the flexible adjustment. It was the only one that worked for us.

The only small drawback is that it periodically needs to be readjusted (not on the screwed in side) but that's really minor. Overall a good buy.

Good gate. Very sturdy. Have several other gates in our home to compare it to and its definitely worth every penny. While its easy for us to use (the people that live here), its a pain for any other adult to use! LOL. We use it at the bottom of the stairs and have our out of town parents as house guests often and NO ONE can seem to grasp the concept. Adult-proof for sure. But great nonetheless and I'd def recommend it.

We use this every day at the top of the stairs. One side is wall the other is handrail and it works just fine. Does the job its meant for, and I am able to use it in many other spots to keep my daughter from wandering when I don't want her to.

Bought this gate to keep youngestgrandchild safe. I am very disappointed. The handle broke off within a few month, actually from inside the gate. Seemed fairly sturdy and heavy, but I was more than a little shocked when the handle came off in my hand. There was another gate and I will purchase that for less money than this one was. I know it will be sturdy since they use it at the preschool which my granddaughter attends.

First off, no problems with the pressure lock aspect of the gate, seems sturdy and acts as a barrier. My problem is with the swinging gate feature which is why I bought this piece in the first place. Every time you lock and unlock the gate it tries to lengthen itself until eventually it is impossible to open or even close the gate. I'm not sure if this is the autofit function gone wrong or what but DO NOT buy this gate if you require a swinging gate.
