This game is still as fun as it was when I was a kid, but the quality leaves a lot to be desired. It's flimsy, takes a lot of time to assemble and nearly impossible to take it back apart to store it. One of the hippos won't even lock into place after the first time I unlocked it. On the other hand, my kids and I had a blast playing it and it's pretty hard to find something that is on both of their levels. Got it on a great sale, but would probably not pay full price for it

I have to agree with most reviews for this game about not being what it used to be years ago. When I was a kid, I enjoyed playing it very much with my sister and friends. Then I bought it for my daughter when she was younger and yes, the hippos' heads got stuck most of the time and the game is much smaller, it's very noticeable.... So I wouldn't buy it again.

I purchased this for my 4 year old daughter for her birthday. She had mentioned it a few times and even after reading the bad reviews, I decided to get it. Unfortunately, the bad reviews are correct. The game is very cheaply made and the hippos heads get stuck quite frequently while you are playing. Despite all of the product's flaws, my daughter loves this game. She asks to play it all the time. She doesn't even get that upset when the hippos heads get stuck, I just fix it and we keep playing. She laughs and laughs during this game so the flaws don't seem to be a big problem for her. The game is large and does not fit back in the box after you put it all together. My daughter gets a lot of enjoyment out of this game so I am glad I purchased it, flaws and all.

THIS IS JUST AN EXPENSIVE PIECE OF JUNK!!!! IT TAKES FOREVER TO PUT PIECES TOGETHER, MY GRANDCHILDREN COULDN'T WAIT TO PLAY. WELL, THE HIPPOS KEPT LOCKING AND STOPPED WORKING, WE HAD TO STOP PLAYING MANY TIMES TO GET THE HIPPOS GOING. IT WAS SOOOOOOO FRUSTRATING. THE KIDS LOST INTEREST, WE LOST INTEREST. THE MATERIAL USED IS THE CHEAPEST. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE HUNGRY HIPPO I HAD FOR MY CHILDREN.THIS ONE HAS NO QUALITY! BACK IT GOES!!

When i heard that my sister wanted this item i was disopointed, because i thought it was pretty stupid. When i finnally got it for her, she LOVED IT!!! Plus, I t was kepping her out of my hair.

PS:I even enjoyed playing it.

I remember playing this when I was a child, and I can't wait for my son to play it. We bought 2, one for my son to play with when he's old enough, and another for a gift. The kids still seem to like it.
