At first I liked this product but the screws fell apart and the screws are pointless because they slide right into the holes so there is no need for the screwdriver.

My girls play with the tool kit in ways I would have never have thought about. My two year old enjoys the tools and My three year old enjoys the box for her other toys. Its fun to watch them use their imaginations.

The only draw back I can see is that the girls use the tool pieces which are made out of wood to "fix" my table which is made out of wood. The hammer will leave divets in the table. Normal supervision is needed to avoid this.

I wanted a tool box for them to practice hammering, using wrench, etc. I got a box of stuff that you have to have LOTS of imagination for, because the pegs don't fit in any of the holes to pound on them. The screw go through all the holes, so you can't actually use the screwdriver or the wrench, unless you just hold it in your hand. I was very dissapointed. I thaught that the tool box would have holes that the pegs and screws could be used on and it wasn't.

I just gave this as a gift to a little boy who was turning 2 years old. He is enjoying playing with all the tools, and his mom is happy that there aren't any small (choking hazard) pieces. In fact, the 2-year-old's big sister, who is 6, really likes playing with this too! Melissa and Doug brand toys are always very well-constructed and durable.

Its a great toy to encourage male bonding time, both father and son sat for hours building and talking about how to work the little tools it comes with. My son loves to carry it all around to friends and relatives houses. Everything is so durable, great for anyone who has a rough and rowdy little boy like me. My son received this as a gift when he was about 15 months old. We took out the small pieces before we gave it to him. From that day, he has not put it down.
