I bought this as a gift for my great-nephew. It is sturdy and well made in bright colors with pieces large enough to be easy for small hands. I'm sure he'll have hours of enjoyment playing and be learning his ABC's at the same time.

My kids like the colorful and easy to handle pieces. But, I question the choice of pictures to go along with the letters. There is airplane for A but also a jet for J, very confusing for a young child to tell the difference. L has a leaf with bugs on it, N has a nest with birds, and W has a horse-drawn wagon. This is confusing for a young child to determine what image is supposed to go with the letter sound. Q has a quail which my daughter insists is simply "bird," and U has a unicorn, which looks too much like a horse. S has shoes, which while it does begin with "s," it doesn't match the traditional s sound, since it's the "sh" pronunciation combination. The pictures are nice from an artistic view point, but not the best choices for teaching letter-sound associations.
