This is an amazing new version of the Scrabble game we've all come to know so well! You can spell so many new words and it's a lot easier to expand across the board instead of getting stuck in one corner. And of course- scoring those quadruple points feels pretty goooood!!

We have always loved scrabbe, but we knew what we could do the the letters so well, it was not played as much. Now, with expanded letter availability, and a bigger board and the opportunity to get 3 times the score, it is like a re-born game. We really enjoy it.

My 8-yr. old especially likes this board game. It has 2 Q's and 2 Z's and not too many of those pesky I's (it's not just double of all the letters in regular scrabble; they've thought it out differently, and in my opinion, better balances of vowels and consonants).

BUT, the game takes a LOOOOOONG time to play (esp. with an 8 yr old who does not want mommy's help). Sometimes we have it set up for 2 or 3 days, playing an hour each day.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
