I love everything about this carrier. We picked this for our registry after long consideration. I would never buy a different one. I have gone on many hikes with my newborn with this, and love that she was so close to me. Her head was right under my chin so I could still make sure she was comfortable. Very comfortable on my back. I have flat feet and back issues, and I never had a complaint with this. Very easy to adjust with weight and size. Was a little confusing to figure out how to put it on the first couple times, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes second nature. Even my husband liked wearing it!

We used this carrier all the time with our first child and it has held up so well we are about to use it for our second child. Both my Husband and myself were able to use it on the same trips because it is so easy to adjust. It was nice that one of us wasnt stuck carring our daughter on long outings. I love how it grew with our daughter and we were able to reposition her with such ease for naps or when she was ready to explore her surroundings.

very easy to put on and material is great however wore for 10 minutes and was ready to rip off. was only carrying my one month old for 10 minutes and lower back was already hurting. there is no support with this model.would not recommend getting baby carrier with no lower back support

This is the first carrier I got and it spoiled me as far as carriers go. I used it with my first three children and it was still going strong. Then, when I had my fourth child, I recieved a cheaper carrier that looked very similar. I thought I could use the other one around the house and keep my origional in the car. The cheaper carrier was uncomfortable and awkward. I studied the instructions several times, and it just fit poorly. Now I know why this carrier cost more: it is better made! Don't be fooled into registering for a cheaper carrier. This one is lasting through my fourth child, and I still love it!

We have used this item a lot! If you like to go outdoors at all this is for you. Our daughter is 8months old and we are still using this to go for walks and hikes. We used it facing the inside till she was 5 months old then turned her around after that. She loves it and appears to be comfortable. My husband is a pretty big guy and it fits him easily, which we were worried about. It is easy to use on your own too! Only thing I wish it wasn't black it faded when we washed it and it shows every spit up and cat hair!

First, for user comfort, this carrier does not provide any lower back support. When baby gets to be about 13lbs you can start to feel the lower back aching after wearing the carrier for 20 minutes. Second, this type of carrier is know to be an unhealthy position for the hips. This can cause hip dysplasia. You want to look for a carrier that the baby "sits" in instead of "hangs" in. Visit InternationalHipDysplasia.org. Up at the top, Click Children and Infants, then on the right under Prevention click carriers, slings, and other equipment. There you can see pictures to why this is not a good position for children.After doing research, we decided to return our Baby Bjorn and get something with lower back support, that can be used front and back and that has a good, safe position for baby. The Beco Gemini is a better carrier tenfold. Check out [@] and you can rent carriers (multiples at a time), to determine what fits your needs best! After trying a few different styles out, the Gemini won by a landslide.

This was a gift when I was pregnant with my first daughter and I loved it. I was able to use it when she was an infant for everything from running errands to softly playing the piano (which was also a really neat bonding experience for her and I).

It was incredibly easy to get on/off, baby in/out. As my daughter grew I adjusted the shoulder straps to accomodate the growing baby as well as adjsuted the crotch support for my daughter. This ensured that my daughter sat securely in the center of carrier (rather than top heavy if the crotch hadnt been adjusted/lowered) and that the Bjorn logo on the back of the carrier stayed in the middle of my back, as detailed in the instruction manual for proper fit. By following these instructions I did not suffer from the back aches other reviewers have mentioned, and I already have chronic back aches to begin with.

With the Bjorn, my daughter could face foward and interact with her surroundings and I believe that is a major reason why this carrier lasted us through 25lbs. I had considered the Ergo carriers since they can accomdate more weight but children can only sit belly to belly in those, or in some you can use them as back carriers (neither my husband or I were comfortable with not being able to see our infant when carrying her). And as my daughter began walking she no longer wanted to be carried for any real length of time anyways so the carrier not supporting more than 25lbs was not a big deal.

The most beneficial piece of this carrier was the ability to have our daughter face forward. It is unrealistic to carry a baby on your hip all day but by placing our daughter in the Bjorn we were able to take her to the grocery store, the aquarium, plant nurseries, family gathers, you name it! And all the while we maintained body contact and she could see what we saw which was wonderful for the new level of interaction we had with her, not to mention much easier to navigate than any size stroller.

This killed my back. My 4 month old is about 16 pounds and I can't use this carrier for more than 10 minutes without my back starting to ache. I complained at work and several of my coworkers agreed. They recommended the ergobaby or the beco baby carriers instead.

This is one of the best front carriers! I have also tried the Moby Wrap and a cheaper front carrier(don't remember the name) But my back killed after about 20 mins of using either one. A friend of mine recommended this and I LOVE LOVE IT!!! My baby does too!! I am also a caregiver for children and I have used it on two of them when they were babies and I have had not a single problem. I don't understand the complaints about needing two people to help and its hard to get baby in. I have never had a problem. Maybe try putting it on and using a fake baby to practice with before you use your own. Im not sure but I have never had a problem. I did a field trip to the children's museum and had a 5 month old in it for 3 hours and she fell asleep in it and she did perfect and so did my back!!! I defiantly would not use the front facing UNTIL your baby is old enough and strong enough to hold there own head up. And that goes for any carrier. To many people try to rush things and have there kids in and doing things that they just can't do at early ages. But I would recommend this product over and over again!
