It is always hard to find toys that are great for BOTH my 4 year old and my 18 month old. But I finally found one they can work on together and both learn from: the Smart Snacks® ABC Lacing Sweets™!

They help children not only learn fine motor skills as they lace the string through the holes, but it can also help work on the alphabet, reading, spelling, upper and lower case letters, colors, and so much more!

It comes with a cute little "treat jar" for carrying the alphabet treats and a little scoop. So not only do my children love to lace with these treats but they like to pretend play with them too!

My four year old son had a blast spelling out all kinds of different words and putting all the letters into alphabetical order. My daughter got to experience lacing for the first time with this set and I love that there are two different holes for the laces to go into. She really caught on fast and was able to do it on her own!

We like...it's okay for the letters learning stage, BUT I'd love to be able to build words with this. I plan to get wooden beads, and paint more letters on them, so that my oldest daughter can continue to use this to practice building more words! It would be awesome if this came with an expansion set option because we love the feel of the original product.

Very fun toddler sized pizzas that have the bonus of teaching fractions (printed on the back). A very cute idea. The pizzas are a durable rubbery material.

I use this with students who can identify numerals 1-20. When my other students see how much fun they are having, they start working harder on identifying their numerals. It has also increased my students mathematical vocabulary.

While it is great to teach fractions, the different pieces didn't equal the same weight (ie, the 2 1/8 pieces didn't equal the weight of the 1/4 piece, and so on) Not a problem unless you're trying to teach pre-K the concept.)
