I wanted to get an interactive African-American doll that my 6-year-old daughter would want to play with. Many African-American dolls have an unattractive color/skin tone, grossly exaggerated features and kinky, unruly hair. Quite frankly, they were not cute at all and my daughter was embarrased to play with them. This Darla doll happens to be about the same skin tone as my daughter, and she's really adorable. In fact, when my daughter saw the doll, she burst out with a huge smile and said, "She's brown just like me!". Plus, she's large enough to wear "real" baby clothes which my daughter loves. I'm really happy with the doll.

I like the doll. Its a real life sized baby. I bought Darla for my two year old for Christmas along with the a stroller and she loves this toy. She sleeps with her, eats with her, loves pushing her in the stoller and rocking her to sleep. She is adorable the only draw back is that I wish she could close her eyes and had some hair. Other then that I think she is perfect and I would buy her again.

What a great doll. We got the doll, the stroller, and a couple of the outfits for our daughter's 4th birthday - she has not stopped playing with her - I especially like how the doll "changes" - one second it is crying, then when my little girl gives her the bottle, you can hear the "drinking" noises. The clothes are easily changed as well - no hard buttons or snaps!

Purchased this doll for my daughter's 2nd birthday. She has loved it since the moment she received it! She loves to feed her and hear her "burp". I love it because it's a simple baby doll that says a few sayings and isn't overly annoying; like other "interactive" dolls. The doll does require batteries but that's not a huge deal for me. Darla is a "first baby" and I would recommend her to others.

For almost 4 year old. Is good to cuddle. Gives warmth because baby says "moma". Teaches responsiblity when baby crys, moma gives baby bottle. Can purchase Newborn size clothes to dress baby. Find a sale, get them from new moms, or find them in discount stores. Terrific for little girls to dress baby.
