My boy just turned 1 year old and I got it for his birthday; he loves it! He can't go fast on it yet as he can't quite coordinate his feet because he just started walking, but it helps him with his balance and it makes for great fun when I push him around the house. (it's definitely safe if your 1 year old is big like mine, otherwise, i'd wait 'till 18 months or so).
He gets upset if I don't do it fast enough!
Since he can't say bike he calls it his "vroom-vroom". Great experience.

Was very very disappointed in this model. We bought the previous version of it 12 years ago for our oldest and have looked for another one like it every since. We were so excited to see Step 2 was again putting it back into production only to find that this was the newer model. The 1st requires balance and taught young children much needed motor skills. All of our children including our girls have ridden the old one, that is still very much being used, and at the age of 4 taken off on a bike without the aid of any training wheels. Very disappointed in this newer bike and desperately wanting the old one to be put back into production.

Great buy! We purchased for our 2 yr old as a Christmas gift and he tells everyone about his cool motorcycle. He rides it indoors and down to the park. My husband had a difficult time with attaching the wheels, but eventually got them to work.

My 2 1/2 yr old loves this toy. He is not yet interested in his bicycle and this is a great transitional toy. He can easily maneuver it and balance is no problem with the wide wheels. We have it indoors during the winter and he will pull it out just to have seating to read or talk to daddy. A great toy!

The Motorcycle is a nice product, but the instructions are severly lacking. There is a bushing that has to go inside the wheels, but the instructions don't really tell you to put it in and it is not intuitive because it is a press fit part (actually hammer fit is more like it). Once the tires are put on, you have to damage them and the locking clip to get them off and put in the bushings - if you don't, the tires wobble. Terrible instructions.

My twin 2 year old boys LOVE their bikes. And I love them because they don't take up too much space in our home which is great since we live in an apartment. I noted a con that this was difficult to assemble - it's not really the case - the directions were difficult to follow because they were all images & no text - I'm a text follower so I messed up the first bike by not putting in the little black things into the wheels - oops. However, the bike was inexpensive enough that I was ok with buying another one. At the end of the day, my boys love their motorcycles and ride them in the house and outside too.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Bought a red one for my son and a pink one for my daughter a few years ago! They have had alot of use out of them. Nephews & Cousins loved them when they come to visit! The kids all like riding them down my Mom's handicap ramp! They've outgrown them now, but they're still in perfect shape! I'm going to put them up and store them, pull them out again when my kids have kids! For a Blast from their past! :)

I bought this for my grandson's birthday tomorrow. I put it together and the back wheels won't turn. This is not a hard toy to put together but what's the point if he can't ride it. I will be shopping tomorrow for his new birthday gift and see if I can return this waste of money! :(
